Escape by Belle Ami is a romantic thriller novel the setting based in the Middle East. The storyline is one of a kind, we get to see how love brews where and when it is least expected, in the midst of so much danger.
Layla Wallace,a beautiful auburn-haired final year student at Harvard university together with her Saudi-Arabian boyfriend Zamir plan to visit his parents. On hearing that his daughter is going to Dubai, Aleck Wallace,Layla's father a renowned nuclear physicist at MIT is not impressed but the young couple go ahead with their plans. What started as a dreamy vacation turned out sour as Zamir and Layla were kidnapped and taken to prison.Zamir is released on ransom since he is from a rich family whereas Layla is left to fight for her life.
Cyrus Hassani,a spy working for Israel whose undercover job is an assistant to the deputy director of Oghab2 in Iran.He is tasked to save Layla and bring her back to her father safe and sound .The first time Cyrus laid eyes on Layla he felt a spark, something he had never felt before for any woman.Layla's stubborness and Cyrus'commanding personality creates a beautiful chemistry while at the same time they are in danger and are fleeing from Iran.
Aleck Wallace, Layla's father is under pressure to save his daughter after finding out that she was abducted.Knowing that the American police are not of much help, he contacts his former roomate in Harvard who is the Prime minister so as to rescue layla. The prime minister being a good friend appoints Cyrus as the lead in the rescue mission for Layla .
The novel's first chapter is confusing at some point as the use of scientific and technical terms that may not be familiar to the reader but as you read further, the storyline is very captivating since the suspense is just on another level once you start reading you cann't get enough of it.Something unique with this novel is how the author has incoperated native words.
The novel having no typographical errors proves that the book was professionally proofread and edited. For readers who are into romantic novels, this is the book for you especially since the sexual scenes not being too graphical and vulgar, but would advice it for a mature audience. Therefore i rate this book 3 out of 4 stars
