Cover for Coached to Greatness

The First Ten Focus Group Feedback for Coached to Greatness: Unlock Your Full Potential with Limitless Growth

Because Coached to Greatness was Book of the Day, some of our most trusted members have carefully looked over the cover, the description, and other aspects of this book as a part of purchase-intent focus group. We then asked each participant in the focus group if they planned to buy and read the book, and why they planned to buy and read the book or not. Their answer to that question and reasons are displayed below. We call this awesome feature The First Ten Focus Group.

Keep in mind, the responses from the members are not reviews. This is purchase-intent focus group which means the participants are people who have NOT yet bought or read your book. A purchase-intent focus group is an important and extremely useful marketing tool for any product, not just books. For other products, you might walk on the street and show people an item in a package and poll them about whether they would buy if or $X or not. These kind of focus groups are one of the ways big marketing companies find the ideal price points for products and test the effectiveness of different packaging. The focus group can help you identify your market so you how to target ads of your book, and it can (but may not) provide you new useful info about your "packaging" (e.g. your book cover, your book synopsis on Amazon, etc.). The point of the focus group comments is to give you information from people who have not bought or read your book about why they plan to buy your book which will help you in marketing the book. These are not reviews or critiques of your book because they are not from people have read the book. This is a marketing tool, not reviews. The trick of book marketing and book advertising is that you have to convince people who have not read your book yet that your book is worth buying and reading. For marketing, it doesn't matter much if people love your book after reading it if you cannot convince potential buyers before they read it that they will love it.

IMPORTANT: Any score over 10% is considered very good. And any score above 0% is acceptable. This is because we only poll about 20 or so readers, and all readers have to say "no" to almost all books. Over a million books are published each year. Even a very active reader cannot come close to even reading 1% of books out there.

This is also why publishing books is such a tough industry.

Judging by the cover, I wasn't going to read this book, and the OBC review discouraged me on when it mentioned that the author motivates readers to make incremental changes that will improve their lives. When I read the sample, I was disappointed that it only contains the table of contents. I would modify it to include a few pages of the book's first chapter. That is the only thing I would change about the bit I read. Since I noticed no errors, I will conclude that the text underwent professional editing, but I won't read the rest of the book because it doesn't appeal to me.

Based on the cover and title, I think I wouldn't have sampled the book since I am not interested in such genre. As for the first few pages, it is clear that this book has given a step-by-step process. Chapter one deals with or encourages readers to start things on their own. I can see that the author lined every topic in details that tend to be useful and informative. The sample Amazon gave was just limited to the table of contents so it's hard to tell whether there were errors or to decide whether to continue reading it. However, based on the official OBC review, this book is good enough for those who need motivation and a push towards their goals. It also have minor errors according to the review. However, I won't be buying the book today because I think this genre isn't suited for me.

I probably wouldn't have sampled this without the programme as I have enough sources of motivational reading. I also won't buy and read it on the basis of the sample because that didn't give me enough material to go on. I did not notice any errors in the sample, so this may have been professionally edited. I liked some of the titles in the sample, for example, those under Chapter 3 on finding your motivation. I was interested in the topic "A Child's Motivation" as I am interested in finding out how to want to do something for its own sake, as children hopefully do. I also liked the mention of note-taking as I believe this is an important practice. It was problematic for me that I could not see any of the substance of the book in the sample; I could not be sure that I wanted to buy it without seeing any text at all. In that connection, the OBC review did contribute to my decision somewhat because the reviewer mentioned that the book is more about tools than about providing a quick burst of motivation. I have enough material about tools to be going on with for the time being.

There are a lot of self-help books out there, and one has to be really striking to steal attention from all the others. While the bright smile of the model on the cover may have prompted a smile back from me, it wouldn't necessarily have made me interested in reading the book. The title, though, may have been the clincher as I believe one never really outgrows coaching. However, I must say I'm quite disappointed in the sample because it contained nothing to help me peek into the creative writing style of the author. It only featured the table of contents with its subheadings up to Chapter 8. There's no way I'm purchasing it without having read an excerpt that actually contains practical information. I can't tell whether there are grammatical errors or not. The OBC review being highly in favor of the book is not enough to make me want to purchase it without seeing for myself.

I do not read self-help so I would not have sampled this, and the sample did not change my mind about it.
I noticed no errors in what I had access to. Unfortunately, the sample ended while still in the table of contents, which is absolutely ridiculous for a book that's over 200 pages.
I must note that, even if I read self-help, I would never purchase a book I could not sample. I would highly suggest making a larger sample available.
The cover fits the genre, as does the premise, but without being able to even sample page 1, I am unable to say more than that.
There was a review for this book, but that has no effect on my opinion. I would not read this regardless, due to the genre, but even if it were something I read, not having access to a sample would have put me off reading it. Needless to say, I am not going to read it.

The cover and the title are indicative of the theme of the book. There are 13 Amazon customer reviews. The Amazon summary gives a clear description of what to expect from the book. Since I am not into self-help books, I would have skipped sampling if not for the First Ten program. As I sampled through the book, I found the contents of the sample to be the Table of Contents. I could not see the contents of any chapter. Since I am not able to read the real contents of the book, I am not in a position to express an opinion on the book. Also, since I am not interested in self-help books, I am not going to read this book in full. The table of contents has been formatted legibly, and I did not find any grammatical or mechanical errors in the table of contents. I liked the detailed coverage of various points related to the topic (as listed in the table of contents). I could not find anything that can be improved in the sample. Although I found one OBC review on the book, my decision to not to read the book in full is based on my own sampling.

Had I not sampled the book, I would not have read it. I usually read pure romance books. Also, I do not usually read non-fiction books. Further, I thought that the cover (with the image of a man) did not reveal much about the contents of the book. From the cover, it seemed like one of the many motivational books that are available. However, the OBC review of the book made my impression change. The review suggested that the book was practical and suggested many strategies that would have to be applied by the reader, which seemed interesting. Having read the sample, the index seemed rather long and unnecessarily elaborate. However, from the index I understood that each chapter is broken down into 10-15 sub headings, which might make the book lack proper flow and continuity. The sample available on Amazon did not contain much of the actual content, and hence I cannot comment on the editing of the book. Since I do not read the genre, however, I will not be buying the book today.

I am not much into self-help books, so I have not decided whether to read this book or not without The First Ten program. The cover looks good with a smiling coach. The title is very helpful to those who need coaching. The official OBC review is compelling but not enough to make me read it. The sample pages only includes the cover, the title, and the table of contents. It would have been better if the author included few pages which could have me decide to read it. The layout of the book looks good, but I have decided to bypass reading it. Coached to Greatness by John M. Hawkins is a #NonFiction #SelfHelp #Guide that gives #Motivation to achieve #Goals and #Success. It provides insight on both tactical and strategic activities. It presents realistic approach to gaining lasting change.

Before sampling this book, I would not have picked it up because I'm a little burned out on self-help books right now. Unfortunately, the free sample only consisted of the Table of Contents. In reviewing the chapters and subheadings, it seems like this book offers a really comprehensive self-help curriculum. I personally love doing self-assessments, so I like that there is a whole chapter dedicated to them in this book. That said, since I didn't actually get to preview any of the writing itself, there wasn't anything that drew me in enough to make me want to purchase this book. I didn't notice any errors in the pages I read.

I would not have picked up this book because I do not read self-help books. The first ten pages seemed well-edited. The OBC review mentions that the multiple subheadings made the book feel choppy, but I think they helped the overall organization of ideas. Unfortunately, this book is not my cup of tea and I think the concept of greatness is very vague. Therefore, I will not be reading the rest.

Without this program, I would not have sampled this book. I rarely read self-help books. Therefore, the title, cover, blurb, and genre would not be of interest to me. The positive OBC and customer ratings do not affect my opinion of the book. It is difficult to say if the book is well-edited since the sample only contains the Table of Contents. By looking at the Contents, it seems the book will be organized well as far as chapters are concerned. They are titled in a seemingly logical manner. I especially like Chapter Three's "Finding Your Motivation" and Chapter Four's "Commit to the Change" as I feel these can be the most challenging for many people. However, there seems to be a plethora of subtitles, which I'm not sure if all of them are fully necessary. It's difficult to tell if there are even more subtitles since the sample ends. I believe it would be better suited if the sample could include some actual content of the book rather than just titles and subtitles. In general, though, I do not plan on buying and reading the book as I don't enjoy reading self-help books.

I wasn't thinking about reading the book as I'm not very keen on reading self-help books. However, the official review and positive Amazon reviews encouraged me to give this a read, and I'm glad I did. I love the content of this book. The author is very direct in addressing his readers, and, throughout the sample, I felt like he is speaking directly to me. There are a lot of points which are worthy of note as you read the book. I also like the format of presenting the information in sub-headings. This made the information more precise and digestible. I'll definitely read the rest of the book as I was able to relate with it and I think I can benefit from reading this self-help guide. As for the editing, I didn't find any error and would gladly rate the book as professionally edited.

As I do not enjoy reading self-help books, I would not have chosen to read the book based on the title, cover, and genre. Reading both the OBC review and the sample did not change my mind. Unfortunately, the sample only contains the table of contents; because of that, I cannot say if the book is professionally edited. I suggest the author include two or three pages in the sample. Through his work, "Coached to Greatness," John M. Hawkins encourages you to follow your dreams and offers advice to help you stay motivated and focused until you achieve your goals. Although I admire the author for helping people achieve success, I am not interested in this book. However, it has great Amazon ratings; therefore, people who enjoy reading motivational books will surely appreciate it.

I would not have sampled this book without this program because I am not looking to read a self-help book at the moment. The OBC review did not convince me to read it. I think the idea of the book helping the readers achieve goals with strategies the author gives sounds good, but I am not interested at the moment. The sample pages were not long enough for me to determine if a professional edited the book. These only consisted of the table contents. I liked some of the subtitles, like the one about time Americans waste. I will not read the book because I do not want to read a self-help book at the moment.

I wouldn't have read this book without the first ten program because I don't usually read motivational books. The title seems exaggerated and the cover restricts the target audience. There are only 13 customer reviews, but they all give the book 4 or 5 stars. Unfortunately, the sample only included the contents of the book, so I can't really know anything about the writing style or the possible editing errors. However, it does seem well-organized, tackling different topics from finding the right motivation to means of achieving sucess. Despite the glowing OBC review, I won't be adding this book to my reading list mainly because I couldn't properly sample it.

Had I not read the sample of the book, I would not have chosen to read this book. I am generally not a fan of self-help/motivational books, as they can sometimes be too shallow and simple to be actually applied in real life. The official review was encouraging and pointed out many good points about the book, such as the author's emphasis on hard work to achieve goals, but did not change my mind. The part I liked most about the first ten pages was the inclusion of "focus" and "reflection" sections at the end of each chapter. The parts I disliked most were the very fragmented chapters (it was clear there were many subheadings and sections of each chapter, which I imagine would disrupt the flow) and that the sample did not include parts of the actual book. I was only able to view the table of contents, which did not strongly influence my opinion of the book. As a reader, I like to sample the author's writing style rather than just their format and organization. I did not notice any grammar or spelling errors in the first ten pages. I am not going to read this book because self-help books do not generally help me, and this one does not stand out as being unique and motivational enough.

I probably would have not read the sample of Coached to Greatness if it had not been a part of The First Ten program. While the Book of the Day review was positive, I'm not a fan of self-help books. The book seemed like it was professionally edited and I did not notice any errors while reading. I appreciated that the author included a section on starting the journey toward reaching one's goals. I agree that the first step is often the hardest and most important. I didn't like how the sample did not contain much textual content. Additionally, the book seems to be divided into many subheadings based on the table of contents. This was overwhelming. As a result, I will not buy the book today.

If I had not read the sample, I would not have read the book as I do not read this genre. After reading the sample, I have not changed my mind. The sample was too short and so it ended with the table of contents and I did not actually get to read any content. Therefore, my opinion did not change. I like how there seems to be some anecdotal chapters called "Mr. Money" or "Coffee Shop Chaos" that look interesting, but I would not read this book without actually reading any content. I also do not know if it was professionally edited or not but so far the formatting is clean. I did not read the official review but that did not affect my decision.

I probably wouldn't pick this book up as I'm not that interested in the genre. Having read the sample I won't be continuing on with the book as it doesn't appeal to me. The sample is mainly the table of contents of the book, which seem very short and to the point and focus on getting the reader to change their motivations to reach success. I did not notice any grammar errors. Those who are interested in self-help might like this book. I'm not really interested in that genre. I have not read any other reviews of this book.

The title and cover were both OK, but I originally thought that the book would be about a sports team. The Amazon Blurb described the book as a guide to success that included strategies for small changes over time to find purpose and accomplish goals. I was not sure about reading the book. The sample only had the Table of Contents showing the chapter titles. I best liked the chapter title “Every Journey Starts With A Step” because I agree with the fact that to start on any goal or target, one needs to take a step. I think this probably agrees with making small changes over time to make a big difference. The book seems to be edited well, as I did not notice any errors in the Table of Contents. The OBC review included that the book was designed to work through the steps of the strategies to reach goals. Writing daily in a journal to reflect and focus on goals was one way given in the book to grow. I do not want to read this book because though it may indeed have some great ways to follow for success, I do not want to read about making goals. I am looking for more of an easy read. This book would take some deep thinking and soul searching. At times, I do like this kind of book, but for now, I want something light to read.

I don't usually go for self help books, based on that I would not have sampled the book. After reading the official review, I went to sample Coached to Greatness, that's when I realized that the sample ended after the table of contents. I did like that one of the topics covered would be on 'Why you need a coach...'. I can't comment on whether the book appears to be edited or not. The cover does not appeal to me. I don't like that the title is not all one colour. I don't like to read self-help books usually, so I would not have sampled this without this program. The blurb sounds promising. It focuses on increasing motivation, which is an obvious tip. It also encourages the individual to understand their own qualities that will help them on their way to achieving their goals. As the sample only contained the contents list, it is difficult to say whether I would have read on and bought the book. Therefore I will have to go off how well the blurb was written, the Official review and the Amazon reviews. Within the contents list, there were no typos and the formatting looked good. Perhaps there could be spaces between each chapter though to break up the lists more clearly.

I like to read a sample before I buy a book to make sure that what I am buying is worth the money and that I am likely to read the whole book and enjoy it. Without much of a sample to go on, it is difficult to gauge this. As this book is not my preferred genre and there is no sample, I will not be reading the book.

The author's cover photo is well-done. The title, Coached To Greatness, made me think this book was sports-related at first. This book helps you set goals and stay motivated to achieve them. Too many times you are busy, but you are not really accomplishing what you need to do to reach your goals. I like that this book provides tools for you to work on your own. This is a realistic way to achieve a real change.
The official review rated this book highly, and I think that it provides a good method that can help many people. I didn't find any spelling or grammatical errors and believe that it has been professionally edited. I think this book would be helpful to me, and I would like to finish it.

Had I not been a member of this program, it is highly unlikely that the genre, title, cover, or reviews would have led me to pick up this book. It is solidly in a genre (self-help) that in the past I have found singularly boring and now tend to avoid. That is no reflection on this book itself, merely my past experience with the genre affecting my decisions. The sample had no impact on my decision for a very significant reason...there was NO sample. All that was given in the Amazon sample was, quite literally, the table of contents. That's it. It gave some idea of the organization of the book, but certainly nothing to indicate whether or not I might want to read it. I also cannot speak to whether or not the book was professionally edited for this same reason. All I can say is that I found no errors in the table of contents.

I like the cover of this book. It looks genuine enough, and who doesn't want to do some self-improvement? I also liked that the Amazon description focuses on gradual, slow improvements rather than trying to improve on everything all at once.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what this book is like because the sample only goes up through the table of contents. There's not even an introduction to see the author's writing style, and as such it goes without saying that I saw no grammatical errors of any sort.

Without getting a taste of what this book is actually like, or a more fleshed-out introduction that explains the author's methods, I can't know whether I like the book or not. With that said, I won't be buying a copy of the book.

From the table of contents, this looks to be an extremely thorough book that delves into every possible hindrance to a person’s success. From conquering self-doubt,wasting time, or finding time when you have kids, this book covers it all. I do like the amount of organization this book offers. Whatever your unique problem is, you’ll likely find some help here. The review mentioned this book isn’t about easy solutions, you do need to put in the work, but that’s useful because many people continue to cycle through bad habits and never get anywhere. The book appears to be professionally edited and the cover photo is quite handsome. I have some projects I need to get to, so this book may be just the motivation I need.

'Coached to Greatness' is a book written by John M. Hawkins. The title, blurb, and cover did a good job at convincing me to give this book a try.

It seems that it is a self-help book. As the sample only consisted of the contents I cannot say whether the book is professionally edited or not. For the same reason, I am unable to say what I liked best about the book. From the OBC review, I can say that liked the way the book talks about realistic methods to get motivated. The cover was not that impressive. It was a nice picture of the author, but nothing that inspired me to want to read the book. The reviews showed it to be exactly what the cover portrays. It's a self-help book that focuses on taking small steps to achieve your goals. I'm not currently interested in reading about this topic, and reviewing the sample didn't change my mind. It consisted of a Table of Contents which only showed the titles of the chapters, none of which inspired me to purchase and read the book. Since there was nothing of substance to read, I was not able to judge the editing. The sample could be improved by adding at least a few pages of the actual content. There was an Official OnlineBookClub review, but it did not influence my decision. I will not be reading this book.

The sample wasn't helpful at all. It presented only the table of contents. From what I could see there, the book seems well-structured. It gives the reader the reason he needs a coach and it talks about motivation and what steps should be made. I liked that some chapters involved writing because I sometimes do that. I love the title to this book. It’s very positive and encouraging. I enjoy reading self help books. So I would have picked this book up based on the cover alone. The photo is appealing. I don’t know if it is a photo of the author or not but it is a nice photo. I read a review of this book and it sounds like a very interesting book. The author provides guidelines and steps to achieve your goals and reach your true potential. For some reason, I am unable to download this book. The sample link sends me to amazon and when I get the sample it ends at the end of the table of contents. I can’t get to the actual book to read the first ten pages. I even have kindle unlimited but it’s not available for me to choose that format to read the first ten pages. For this reason I can’t say whether it appears to be professionally edited. Also, I can’t confirm that I will read the whole book because I haven’t had the opportunity to sample the first ten pages. I think it would be a book I would like to read, but without having the opportunity to read the first ten pages, I can’t be certain that I want to finish the book. For that reason I have to say I will not finish reading the book. If someone could let me know how to get the amazon sample, I would like to review the first ten pages. The link takes me to the sample, but the sample ends immediately following the table of contents. Thank you.

The cover page and title along with subtitle clearly says that this is a motivational book. The review has mentioned that this book deals with realistic ways to make significant and long-lasting changes in life. The sample contains only the chapter headings (index) and from that I could gather that this book deals with intrinsic motivation and how past hinders one's motivation. I cannot say if the book is professionally edited just from the index. The review mentions that it's well edited. I'm not a big fan of non-fiction in general and self-help books / motivational books in particular. So I am not going to read this book.

I would not have chosen to sample this book, because it is not a genre that I am currently interested in. After reading the first ten pages (sample provided on Amazon), I did not get much more insight on the writing style or whether I would actually enjoy it, as the sample only contained the cover and table of content pages. The book does appear to be professionally edited from what I could see. An improvement would be to allow for a slightly better sample, so the reader can assess if they enjoy the writing style and language used in the book. The official OnlineBookClub review was excellent and provided a solid understanding of what could be expected, unfortunately it did not serve to change my mind in this case.

A self-help book that provides practical long-term strategies for individuals who are looking for growth but lack goals and motivation sounds very useful. Since we all could use a little motivation every day, I was excited to check out this book. The book seems well-edited and well-organized with the chapters arranged in a logical order, though I do wonder if a chapter about coaches is really necessary. Unfortunately, the sample doesn’t go past the table of contents, so it’s difficult for me to judge if I’ll enjoy the writing. I won’t purchase this book today but will keep it on my reading list.

The cover looks very professionally done. I probably wouldn't have picked it up, but only because the title is so indicative of the genre of the book. I very rarely read self-help books. My sample showed me only the Table of Contents, but it seemed to me that the book is quite well organized, and the individual topics look very helpful.
I found one mistake. In the Table of Contents under Chapter One, one section is "Proper Decision-Making." There should be no hyphen as this is being used as a noun. I will not be reading this book simply because of the topic and genre. It seems to be well done. I have not read an OBC review of this book.

The cover design, title, and blurb did not appeal to me. There are many self-help books on the market and I’ve read quite a few, so I’m not interested in this genre right now. Therefore, I would not have chosen this book to read despite its many amazing customer reviews on Amazon. The sample did not represent the book well. Firstly, it only contained the publishing details and the Table of Contents which provided a breakdown of what each chapter contained. I learned that this book was published by iUniverse and it has seven chapters. What I appreciated was seeing that each chapter contained a story. For example, the title of the story in Chapter 6 was called ‘Coffee Shop Chaos’. From what I read in the sample, there seemed to be no errors. However, since no pages of the book apart from the Table of Contents were present in the sample, I cannot say whether the book seemed professionally edited. As I stated before, I’m not interested in reading a self-help book right now. Furthermore, the sample did not change my mind. I won’t buy and read this one.

I have not come across reviews of this book; it also seems to be professionally edited. I like how the author has clearly organised his writing into many chapters with its own headings for easier reference. Also, the free sample on Amazon only contains the table of contents, with no actual writing sample. Going to the publisher's page also unfortunately yielded no writing sample. Hence, I cannot give any suggestions for improvement. Hence, I will not be buying the book today, because I am currently not in the market for self-help books, and also, I could not get an actual sample.

The opening pages of this were a bit of a disappointment for me. I rarely read a book without being able to read some of its material, and the sample pages of this only offered the table of contents. Because of this, I won’t be finishing this book. While I thought the book might have some interesting topics, I can’t commit myself to reading it blindly without having read even a slight piece of it.

The review was very upbeat and the reviewer seemed to enjoy the book. I liked what was said about how the author had some new ideas never seen before in this genre by that reader. While that is good, I still was not convinced to read it. I read a lot of self-help, so what is new to one person may not be new to me, so again, without the ability to really sample anything, I am passing on this one.

I can only comment on the editing being professionally done by what the review said. I didn’t see any mistakes in the table of contents, and the reviewer said this area seemed to be okay.

I will send this out on my social media for others to look into. Because the market is so flooded with self-help books, I probably wouldn’t have found this one on my own search without the online book club.

Is that the author, John. M. Hawkins on the cover? Is he someone famous that I should know or recognize? These are the immediate questions I have when first viewing "Coached to Greatness." The burb is encouraging, logical, and interesting. However, it's oddly spaced, with lots of white between paragraphs. The title made me think this was a sports memoir. The subtitle cleared that up. Because the free sample available on Amazon for the first ten review only includes the table of contents, I cannot comment on the author's writing style. A long-term plan for life improvement makes more sense than instantaneous results, so this self-help book is worth a look. I didn't see any errors. No OnlineBookReview influenced me.

From the cover, blurb, and review of this book, I wouldn’t have read it. I’m not really a self-help book reader and there weren’t any major revelations that would have made me pick this one up. After reading the first ten percent available as a free sample (basically just the table of contents) I didn’t change my mind and therefore will not be buying and reading the rest of this book. By looking at the contents of Chapter 4 – “Commit To The Change” – I really liked that a whole section is focussing on the impact and need to commit. It looks like the author will touch on key pieces that have worked for me in the past like writing things down as well as focussing on the things that are important. That being said, despite the fact that I agree and see the utility of many of the principals discussed in this book, I don’t think that it would benefit me as I am already applying them. I didn’t see anything specific that I would have wanted to change within the sample that I read, but it did seem well written and edited. The official review did not affect my decision at all.

I wouldn't have chosen this book because I don't usually read self-help books, but I liked that the reviewer found it personally helpful. I didn't find any grammatical mistakes in the (very limited) amazon sample, but I still won't be finishing this book. The organization chops the book into too many pieces, and I don't really believe in symbols as motivators. Although I think it could be helpful to some people, I won't buy the book.

I wouldn't have sampled the book on my own, as I don't read self-help books. While a self-help book that gives realistic strategies to achieve goals sounds inspiring, it isn't relevant to me. The sample consisted just a table of content, so I can't remark on the book's attributes or editing. Adding a few pages from the book would benefit it, as it will give potential readers a taste of the book. The book provided a step-by-step plan on working toward your goals by changing behavior and mindset. It seems to require work from the side of the reader. While this approach seems realistic and applicable, the book doesn't seem that different from others of its ilk. I won't read the book, as it isn't my cup of tea. The official review didn't sway my decision either way.

Total ~ 10%

Coached to Greatness earned a score of 10%.

In other words, out of the top-level reviewers who read at least the first 10 pages of this book, 10% plan to read the whole book.

IMPORTANT: Any score over 10% is considered very good. And any score above 0% is acceptable.

Over a million books are published each year. Any given person could not even read .0001% of the books out there. This means readers have to be very selective. Even taking the time to look over reviews and blurbs, let alone read samples, is more time than most readers can afford for most books. The First Ten is a powerful focus group that addresses those issues. It creates a helpful tool for authors, publishers, and other readers.
