The book titled Roadmap to the End of Days is eschatologically written by the author, David Friedmann. He asserted that the universe and everything that it encompasses will come to an end. Furthermore, he systematically synthesized the stages that all creation have undergone since time immemorial to arrive at an ultimate point.
First and foremost, he introduced it in a brief but comprehensive manner the concept of time by means of scientific and biblical references. It is through this premise that he is able to trace or breakdown the chain of events culminating to the end of days. His main objective is to prepare the reader's mindset to the succeeding pages of his book.
Secondly, he gives an emphasis on Cosmic Purpose in conjunction with human free will. Meaning choices or actions made by him or her establishes the consequences which either follows or deviates from the Cosmic Purpose. This deviation constitutes the duration of time we are to arrive in the end of days.
Lastly, in accordance with time and Cosmic Purpose, the author gives us a simpler definition of the end times. It is at this point that an awakening happens. Humans will have an spiritual oneness with God and better understanding of the Divine Plan.
I give this book a rate of 3 out of 4 stars. The author is able to convey all the details about the roadmap to the end of days which in terms of biblical context is the spiritual awakening of humans. He has a point that human actions mainly governed by free will determines that resultant path. Just like a roadmap, there is a given route for us to take to arrive at that point of destination which is the end of days. That given route is our belief in God and observance of His laws. The problem arises when you, in the middle of the current road you are taking, takes a turn to a road that branch out of it. That is, when humans do the right or wrong. He has a point that what we do, by our own free will, produces the outcome that makes way of what become of us regardless if it is right or wrong. In my own opinion, even if I do the right thing there will be a point in time that, instead of going in the right direction, I might walk astray. Although I am doing it on my own volition, external influences may come into action to either assist or hinder you into achieving something. It is because that other individual who has its own free will might bumped into me and may affect my decisions and vice versa. To make it simple, we as individual are grouped in a society that interacts with each other so that the action taken by one person affects the other. Other than that, the author thoroughly made biblical and historical as well as scientific approaches to guide the reader at the end of his roadmap.
On the negative aspect of this book, it is not intended for general readers. Mostly the words and paragraphs are not in layman's term since it is based on biblical contexts. A mature reader is fitted for this. In general, this book’s aim is to demystify the end of days which to many of us think it is a very dark time. But to me, I find it very intriguing. Because a person with deep moral and religious background may interpret it the other way around. It could be a subject of criticism because any person who will read this book has his or her own free will.
