Music is an art that has played significant roles in the lives of individuals, serving as a source of joy, emotional connection, reflection, and more. In this book by Rana I. Alyaseer and Ahmad I. Alyaseer, we get to see the role Adele’s music plays in the lives of this book’s main characters, Elias, Yaser, and Nadia.

The book is focused primarily on the lives of three main characters. First is Elias, who, after his encounter with a fortune teller, decides to go to Marrakesh in search of Malika, who he had lost communication with and left eight years ago. The second story is about Yaser and Mariam, who were married surgeons who were struggling with religious differences. The third story is about Nadia, who lives in Amman, Jordan, and faces challenges as her ex-husband is abusive and also wants to take her son Waleed to Adele's concert. From this book titled My Trip to Adele, we join in an interesting plot to know if these individuals were able to achieve their aims of attending the live concert.

I appreciated that each chapter is named after Adele's music, and this was a very creative touch to the book. I also enjoyed how easy it was to switch between stories in the book, as it was seamless, and I must commend the author on that. The book was also a bit sentimental to me, and in my opinion, Yaser and Mariam's part is the best part of the book. I appreciated the themes explored in this book, such as love, religion, culture, and many more. Overall, the book was engaging and enjoyable, and I like the end; it was unpredictable, and I would suggest you pick up a copy to find out.

No aspect of the storyline was flawed, and considering I enjoyed the book generally, I would be rating the book 5 out of 5 stars. I also encountered just an error while reading this book, which shows it was professionally edited, and I would recommend this book to people who love books with themes of love, music, and self-realization.

If one loves Adele's music and lyrics, as I do, one will enjoy reading the life journey of 3 pairs of people who embarked on 3 separate voyages to see her concert. Their stories are full of meaning and life lessons.

This review beautifully captures the emotional and cultural depth of My Trip to Adele. I love the idea of weaving Adele’s music into the structure of the story—what a powerful way to explore each character’s journey. The intertwining stories of Elias, Yaser, and Nadia sound both heartfelt and thought-provoking. I’m especially intrigued by how the book tackles themes like love, religion, and personal transformation. Definitely adding this to my reading list!
