Fireproof Happiness is a self-help book by former Chief People Officer and author Dr. Randy Ross. From his bio, I learned that he is a seasoned writer in his field, so I wanted to get acquainted with his writing style.

People always want to be happy but not all know the secret to achieving it. Not only common people, but philosophers, psychologists, scientists and even religious preachers are continuously experimenting with the theory of happiness. The human misconception that happiness can be achieved at a certain point and will eliminate all life's hardships and struggles is totally baseless. According to the author, people must learn the techniques to attain happiness despite the adversities of life.

The author opines that hope acts as the lighthouse in the journey towards happiness and success. Hope can energize us with positive spirits and help to alienate us from depression and negativity. Dr. Ross mentions how difficulties increase human resilience and capabilities.

But not only hope, happiness depends on numerous other factors. The author advocates that a positive attitude towards trouble is the most crucial part of attaining happiness. According to the author, we must accept failures with positivity and an open mind to gain happiness.

The arrangement of the chapters was done very craftily. I like the author's deep attachment to his readers with the growth of changing topics. He shared different motivational life stories as well as personal anecdotes to make his theory firm and acceptable. The reference to multiple motivational quotes throughout this book makes it an amazing read. Lastly, the title Fireproof Happiness is appropriate with its theme.

I have no grudge against this book. It is flawless with its professional editing. This book deserves a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because it helps the readers shake off their negative habits to live a life full of happiness and peace. I would love to recommend this book to all the readers who want to achieve happiness through self-improvement.
