Life Lessons of Wayne: We Are Our Thoughts by Shawn Wayne is the life-based story of a young boy who grew up with an extremist father and a loving mother. The introductory section of the novel talks about Wayne heading home from his baseball practice. Being excited after hearing an encouraging statement from his coach, he decides to tell his father, who talked him down from pursuing his dream as a professional baseball player. Growing up with the mindset that he wasn’t good enough, Wayne failed in his academics and gained large amounts of weight; this was the case for every member of his household. Wayne, after thinking thoroughly about his life for a certain period, decided to put his life in his hands and be productive. His first action was to begin homework, which made him lose weight and become fit. Life Lesson of Wayne: We Are Our Thoughts by Shawn Wayne narrates the exclusive lesson of the author during his childhood and into adulthood. The most appealing point I found about this novel was the well-detailed lesson that was described at the end of each chapter of the novel. Not only did I enjoy reading about the life of Wayne, but I also gained life lessons from his actions and decision-making. Another fascinating fact that I enjoyed about this novel is the fact that Wayne finally achieved greatness despite the setbacks he encountered in his journey through life. This taught me that no matter what circumstances you find yourself in, you should never give up on life and always believe in your ability to overcome it. The novel was a short read, but then again, it was indeed an enjoyable novel, which I would say was worth reading. 
 
There was nothing that I found dislikeable about this novel while reading it; I will say that it was not only educational but also enjoyable. It is indeed a great way to spend my leisure time.
 
In addition, I would wholeheartedly give this novel a rating of 5 out of 5 stars, as I enjoyed reading it and obtained valuable life lessons from it. Also, I would say this novel has been exceptionally well edited, as I did not encounter a single grammatical error in the process of reading it.
 
I would recommend this novel to readers who are fascinated by autobiography novels and also readers who seek to not only enjoy a novel read but to learn impactful knowledge from reading the novel.
