The book is all about the adventurous honeymoon of a British woman named Catherine and a Chinese man named Chance. They get married and decide to explore China on their honeymoon. But many exciting things are waiting for the couple to go through. The honeymoon turns out to be an expedition where the couple gets to know more about themselves while also solving deep mysteries. 
 
There are many details in the book that you need to carefully pay attention to to connect the dots for things to come in further reading. The connection between the past and present is meticulously connected in the climax, where the author shows her commendable writing skills. There are many twists and turns in the book, resulting in readers guessing the wrong plot, leading to a consistency in curiosity till the end. 
 
The book is written in a clear and concise format. The flawless editing helped me finish the book at a rapid pace and aided in an effortless read. My favorite segments of the book are delved into in the initial pages. I loved the first chapters, as they were properly executed to introduce the characters and their traits. 
 
Negatives: There are no negatives that I could address, as I was deeply lost in the mysterious mazes that formed the author. I loved the plot. 
 
Overall, the book is an amazing read if you want to have a nice time traveling or between office hours. It has an excellent plot that keeps readers engrossed for long periods of time without giving any hints about future events.
 
I would like to rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. 1 star for the engaging plot. 1 star for the commendable writing style. 1 star for the proper segregation of the topics and 1 for the character development. 1 star is given for the editing and proofreading.
