If you are a Christian trying to find more ways to build your faith, I highly recommend J. Marie Jones' book "Affirm the Word." This book teaches Christians how to incorporate biblically-based positive affirmations into their daily lives. To utilize these affirmations to deal with common problems, the book offers helpful advice and recommendations.

It provides Bible verses, prayers, and reflections for various life situations, emphasizing the value of positive statements based on biblical teachings. The purpose of the book is to assist readers in applying these affirmations to their everyday lives, which can result in a rise in faith, optimism, and inner strength—particularly in trying circumstances. She describes her life as a believer, from when she first believed in God to the time she wrote this book. She advocates for believers to develop a personal relationship with God and the Holy Spirit.

As a practicing Christian, I found the author's teachings to be a blessing and a great aid in bolstering my faith. I also genuinely appreciated her perspective on divorce and forgiveness. Before reading her perspective on these issues, I had never given the scriptures pertaining to divorce and forgiveness such careful thought. Before writing this book, the author examined the Bible and its mysteries in great detail.

However, the e-book version I read had a number of formatting issues. I cannot really tell what page I am on because page numbers flow into sentences. Additionally, when enumerating items, the numbers simply flow in the middle of the sentence. Furthermore, page headers do not appear ahead of a page's content; they appear anywhere. All of these issues made reading this book tedious for me. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars, removing one star for the reasons I stated above. Despite the issues raised, this book contains valuable information for believers.
