Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids is a very well-illustrated, detailed story about a little girl who dreams of heaven. The authors have done a great job writing the story from a child's point of view, but also providing Biblical references for the details that the little girl sees in her dreams. The book naturally progresses from early dreams of what heaven is like, who will be there when we get to heaven, and what is required of humanity to have access to all God has prepared for us. There is a brief look into what hell is like for those who choose not to repent, and I think the authors did a good job depicting how a child would interpret hell.

All in all, this is a well-researched story with likeable characters and beautiful illustrations. At times the story was a little wordy, there are moments where the dialogue and descriptions could be pared down to better suit the intended audience. With the content as is, I would suggest that children ages 6-8 could enjoy the story. Younger children may lose interest.

The content is well thought out, the illustrations are pretty, but the story doesn't flow the way that most conversations with children would flow. I appreciate the way that the parents work together to help the little girl understand her dreams, but the details the little girl sees feel like the writer’s interpretation of what heaven will be like - details such as the angel’s appearance, what Jesus and God are wearing, the age of everyone when they are living in heaven, food and sleep being available. No one can truly know what heaven will be like, even John, while writing Revelation was only writing what his human, mortal mind could fathom about the appearance of Heaven and its inhabitants.
