The book 'Why God Allows Evil and Suffering?' by Sine Nomine, is a theological study and explanation given by many men in history along with their contradictions and a reasonable conclusion at the end.

The author begins by mentioning the two ways in which God's power may appear limited when in reality it is not. First, any character trait of God is a limitation that he voluntarily imposes on his almighty power. 'God is All-Loving' and 'all-powerful', leading us to the conclusion that even when he has the absolute power, he uses it in a loving way. Secondly, God is all-just and all-wise, which can be viewed as the distinct limitations God imposes on the use of his absolute power.

Through a lens that balances reverence for tradition with intellectual curiosity, the author dissects topics such as, the purpose of humans is love, the concept of justice, creation, the age of the universe, the Crucification of Jesus Christ and many more. Each doctrinal exploration is accompanied by a thoughtful analysis of historical controversies and theological developments, shedding light on the intricate tapestry of theological thought. If the study of this in depth interests you, please read this book for sure.

Although one possible issue with the topics provided in the book is that it assumes a specific theological perspective and position on the problem of pain. The argument presented is based on the assumption that God's power is not truly limited and that there are voluntary restraints and choices made regarding its exercise. However, this perspective may not be universally accepted or agreed upon by all religious or philosophical schools of thought.

Additionally, there may be a lack of clarity in explaining the connection between God's self-restraint and the existence of pain and suffering in the world. While in some parts it suggests that selflessness is a reason for God's actions, it does not fully address or explain why God would allow the magnitude of pain and suffering that exists.

For this reason, I am giving this book a 3 out of4 rating.

Other than that, the book is very well edited and written but uses an elevated vocabulary, which may become a challenge for some readers due to the use of more intricate language. I found no errors whatsoever.

This book is a compelling resource for scholars and  theologians and if you are a part of the seekers alike, this book is definitely for you.
