Darryl Jefferson's career pursuit was influenced not by movies, like many others, but by a computer game gifted to him by his soon-to-be stepfather. From a young age through his college years at PLU, Darryl nurtured a strong desire to join the army. However, during this time, he faced challenges due to the vulgar and profane content he posted on a blog called MySpace, which ultimately led to him being asked to leave college. Nevertheless, this setback did not deter his passion for joining the army, and he eventually attended Pierce University. If you're curious to learn more about the author's life experiences and his journey in the military, dive into this book titled Army Life by Darryl Jefferson to discover the details.

Throughout the book, the author's distinctive personality shines through his writing, adding originality to the narrative, which is one aspect I appreciate about the book. It provides ample information about the army, their training, and the day-to-day life they experience, even delving into their dietary habits.

However, one negative aspect I observed in the book is the abundance of profanity. Although the author may have used it to portray army dialogue accurately, I found it excessive and felt that it detracted from my overall enjoyment. Additionally, the book's level of detail felt peculiarly excessive to me, including naming individuals that I believe could have been omitted. For these reasons, I rate the book three out of five stars. It is exceptionally well-edited, and I found no errors while reading it.

Potential readers should be aware that this book is quite intense, and I recommend keeping that in mind before picking it up. I strongly recommend it to those seeking insights into life in the US Army. However, as it contains sexual content and profanity, it is best suited for mature readers. Additionally, readers who have autism and are interested in pursuing a career in the military may find this book particularly intriguing.
