The only time that I have time for ritual is first thing in the morning...my favorite is Sumatra coffee but any dark roast will do...black with three packets of equal. I have a bulldog mug that holds about three average sized coffee cups. Two of those with Danish or something sweet and I'm ready to roll

When I'm writing...either coffee spiked with coffee liquor or wine. Caffeine and a bit of the grape help me unwind enough to really climb into my characters.

I have never liked coffee, and never smoked.

But tea, I'm addicted to it like nothing else. The type depends on the day I'm having: if it's been stressful, I'll have an herbal tea and if not, any black tea in the house with a bit of milk and sugar. My favorite is probably earl grey. If I'm reading, I'll be in bed with incense burning and a cup of tea, and if I'm writing, the desk.

I love to drink sweet tea! I really dislike coffe. No matter how much cream or sugar or milk I put in it, I feel that the taste is to distinct and somewhat bitter.

None. I don't drink either. A glass of juice for me would do.

Sorry to contradict you connorjaycolebrook. I don’t depend on neuro-stimulants (your term) before I write. I write whenever and wherever I feel I have something to write about. I do enjoy coffee and tea. But not for the reasons you have given.
But then again I know you said “most people,” not all people. So in a sense I am not contradicting you anyways. :)

I drink non caffeinated tea, mostly herbal. Lemon is my favourite st the moment but I'm partial to mint, liqourice and normal tea with honey.

Coffee. The bitterness seeps out into your language; the sweetness touches your adjectives; the warmth envelopes all.

I like them both although I do not drink them everyday. When I am in the mood for coffee I drink coffee, the same goes for tea. They are both great on a cold, snowy day....well if you live in a snowy state!

It depends but most often coffee! I usually only drink tea in the evening when I'm trying to wind down and don't want to be up all night. I've got plenty of both though!
