I’m giving this children’s book a rating of 4/5.

Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids is a super adorable Christian children’s book written by Jemima Paul with Arvind Paul. The main character, a little girl named Emma, is the main character and she keeps having dreams of what heaven is like. She wakes up to tell her parents and little sister, Bella, all about it down to the last detail. She asks her parents questions about everything she experiences and the parents show great empathy and understanding of her dreams. The parents actually believe God is intentionally putting these dreams into Emma’s head and so forth they reiterate everything that’s happening back to what happened in the Bible. They specifically find and reference bible verses to confirm that everything happening in Emma’s dreams is actually relevant to what God had said about heaven. Emma learns a lot about the salvation as well and realizes that she wants to share the word of God in order to help others go to heaven! Precious!

What I like about how the parents were portrayed is that they both showed great love and compassion towards their little girls, Emma and Bella. They were patient in listening to Emma’s dreams and then were role models in reiterating what God was showing them and that God has a purpose for everything.

The only thing I deducted points from is I think it would’ve been better if Emma had a brother involved as well because the book seemed geared more towards little girls than just in general little children, boys or girls. I also think it would’ve been an even better book if Emma learned a really tough lesson from the dreams rather than just her dreaming about what heaven is like. Other than that, I rated it fairly high because it seemed more informational than other children’s books because of the specific references to bible verses. Again, I did really appreciate that they referenced actual bible verses throughout!
