Well done obiebookworm! :D

Not really. I don't count the books I have read, but I probably read at least 200 books if not more.

Mine would be to start reading more, and to read at least 50 books.

When someone says 'I would like to do this next year.' , why would someone else say "Well done"? Nothing's been done yet.

A ball player says "I'd like to hit 50 home runs next season.", would you say "Well done."? And if you did, what would you have left to say if the aspiration was actually accomplished? "Told you so."?

That said, no I don't have nor will I set a goal of a number of books I wish to read. I take them as they come and play them as they lay to continue my today's goal of using lots of cliches. I expect I'll read around 200 books as I am both a constant and a binge reader.

I would like to read some of the classics I've been meaning to read for many years.
The difference is that I own a Nook and can read in total darkness... my kind of reading.

Not a number of books, but rather time. I want to push myself to read 20 minutes before bed every night.

Next year I would have to read at least 5 classics. I've read Dracula so far and didn't enjoy it like I thought I would.
I would also like to read Lord of the Rings! I've been meaning to for a long time but haven't yet gotten round to it.

Right now I'm thinking it will be 100...maybe I'll increase to more...my goal this year was 50 and I'm now at 78 for year so far. So next year's goal will be either 100-150 books.

While I do keep a list of books I've read, I'm trying to get away from setting a specific # as a goal for the year. My reason is I have quite a few 800+ page books in my TBR pile, and even one of those is likely to drag my monthly/yearly average way down (I'm a slow reader as it is).

hmmmm....maybe I should start noting the # of pages in each book in my Read list?
