This book is written to introduce children to the Catholic religion. The story is about the girl and her acquaintance with God and Jesus. This book is written simply and clearly. The main character, the girl Emma, goes to heaven while sleeping and dreaming. During the night she travels to the kingdom of Jesus, where she learns the main values of religion. When a girl dreams she enters the world that is described in the Bible. She sees the wonderful plants and animals of paradise, angels, devil.
Emma also talks about how she found a new friend. She met Jesus in her dreams, who was very kind to her. The girl also noticed hell and how the people in that hell suffer when they get there. The girl wakes up in the morning and shares her dream journeys to the world of God with her whole family. Also, after returning from her dreams, she discusses with her parents what was unclear. It is a very good idea to include quotations from the Bible in the story. In this book, these quotes sound simple and clear. Bible quotes that seem complicated and difficult to understand become clear and easy. The text is easy to understand even for children, and it is also a great book for parents, teachers, and churches to introduce children to the basic truths of religion.
I think this book is most suitable for children aged 4-9, to satisfy their curiosity and simply and clearly describe what is being talked about in the church or community. I also think that this book would be perfect educational tool for children, that belong to other religions. Children who choose another religion would have a clear understanding of the basic values preached by the Catholic church.
The book is written in a rather banal way, I would say that it is more like an educational tool than fiction. This book contains the well-known concepts of hell and heaven. Would like a little more fantasy.
The rating of the book is 3 out of 5 - fair/average.
