A Dream For Peace is a book in which Dr. Ghoulem Berrah talks about his experiences fighting for his country's freedom. He was a young man who was born into a well-to-do family. Society expected him to go outside to study. They expected him to return as an adult who had excelled in his field. He expected the same thing of himself. He never knew that fate would drive him into the arms of freedom fighters who were adamant about seeing their country gain its independence. He did not have it easy in his fight. Dr. Ghoulem Berrah encountered several challenges, was apprehended several times, and had to watch people die. Still, he was determined to give his last breath to the course he believed in. A Dream for Peace exemplifies what can be accomplished when a group of people set their minds to something. His journey was not easy, but at least he got the beat on his chest and said he did right by his people. He left no stone unturned in recounting every significant event from when he was a little boy to when he retired from fighting for justice.

A Dream For Peace is about a hero that not enough people have heard about. I know a little about Algeria's fight for independence, but I did not know about the things the author outlined in the book. He told us the most important events that took place behind closed doors when he was arrested. He also talked about the problems he faced when he was in the camp with his fellow fighters. Everything he wrote gave me insight into the number of sacrifices people make or have made to ensure that their countries gain independence. I have always known that the road to such freedom is not littered with rose petals. But I have never appreciated or truly understood the suffering and struggles those responsible for today's freedom have had to endure up until now. That is why I am grateful to Dr. Ghoulem Berrah for taking the time to pen this remarkable autobiography. It will teach future generations about what it takes to set a country free from the shackles of colonization. This very thing is what I like most about this book.

A Dream For Peace was very well detailed. There was so much information about our beloved hero's different stages of growth. He talked about his childhood and the relationships he made along the way. I knew this book was about freedom fighting, but I never expected there to be so much detail about the things I just mentioned. This is another thing that makes me love this book so much. I also enjoyed reading it because it taught me much about Algerian history. Every single sentence written in the book was also easy to understand. Yes, the book was a bit lengthy, but it was not boring.

I did not dislike anything in this autobiography. It taught me so much and gave me hope that there are good people in our world today. I know that the battles that were fought happened decades ago, but it shows me that there will always be people who will always want to stand up for what is right when they need to. There were totally no negative aspects to this book, and I say that with so much pride and joy in my heart. It was edited exceptionally, and its delivery was perfect on all levels. That is why I now give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend A Dream For Peace to readers who enjoy reading autobiographies about people who fought for the freedom of their country. It is a book that will teach you about Algeria's history and the sacrifices that had to be made before it broke free of colonization. It will expressly tell you how its unmentioned heroes lived and the hills they died on before that country became what it is today.
