We are Voulhire: Under the Great Skies is the first book in the Voulhire series, a novel set in a magical kingdom called Voulhire. The author, Matthew Tyse, has created a rich and detailed world filled with complex characters, political intrigue, and magical powers. The story follows the journey of Galen Bray, a young man who leaves his small village in search of adventure and knowledge.

The world of Voulhire is vast and complex, and the author does a great job of introducing the reader to its many different parts. From the bustling city of Voulhire to the rolling hills of the countryside, Tyse has created a believable and immersive world that is easy to get into and get lost in. The different kingdoms, political factions, and magical orders are all well-developed and add tremendous depth to the story.

One of the positive aspects of We are Voulhire is its cast of characters. Galen Bray is a complex and likable protagonist who constantly learns and grows as he travels through Voulhire. He is joined by a cast of exciting and well-rounded characters, each with their motivations, fears, and desires. The relationship between the characters is also well-written, and they are a vital part of what makes the book so engaging.

Another standout aspect of the book is its richly detailed magic system. The author has created a world where magic is an integral part of daily life and is used for everything from healing wounds to traveling between kingdoms. The magic system is complex and well-thought-out, which is a crucial part of what makes Voulhire believable.

The story is well-paced and filled with action, adventure, and intrigue. Galen’s journey takes him from the hills of his home village to the bustling city of Voulhire, and he is constantly encountering new challenges and obstacles. The author does a great job of building tension and keeping the reader engaged throughout the story.

The writing style of Matthew Tyse is smooth and engaging, and he does a great job bringing Voulhire to life. He has a natural gift for creating vivid and memorable imagery, and his descriptions of the world, characters, and magic are breathtaking. The book is well-edited and free of significant grammatical or spelling errors, which makes for an enjoyable reading experience. For this reason, I rate this book a four out of five stars.

In conclusion, We are Voulhire: Under the Great Skies is a fantastic novel by Matthew Tyse. The world of Voulhire is rich, detailed, and engaging, and the casts of characters are complex and likable. The story is well-paced and filled with action, adventures, and intrigue, and the magic system is complex and well-thought-out. I recommend this book if you are a fan of fantasy novels because this book is worth a read.
