There are various ways to heal from the mistakes of the past, but this depends on the person in such a position. One might choose to stay alone while trying to heal, while others might choose to spend time with their family. In this memoir, Bluewater Walkabout: Into Africa by Tina Dreffin, she describes how she chose to heal from her past by spending time with her family. This is a book that tells the story of the author's life experiences and how she was able to overcome her past by going on adventures.

Tina sets out with her family on an expedition to Johannesburg, South Africa. They had already made plans to get a new boat, which they would use for their adventures. Tina shares her past experiences with us. She told the story of how she was a victim of sexual harassment at her former place of work. It was really a tough time for her. Tina and her husband, Peter, met at the wedding ceremony of Tina's brother, Keith. They got married and gave birth to two sons, Warren and Adam. Going back to their expedition, they visited various fun places and met different amazing people. Grab a copy of this book to learn more about Tina's expedition with her family.

There are many positive aspects to this book. Firstly, I would begin with the author's narrative technique and the use of flashbacks and dialogue. Secondly, I love how the author shared her past experiences and how she was able to heal from them. I also love how Tina and her family bonded with others on their expedition, including Dick, Karen, Sam, Nick, Gary, etc. I also admire the way Tina cared for all the children. This book expanded my knowledge of tourist places like the Kruger National Park. The description of the place and the things being done there seem interesting. It would be a pleasure to visit there sometime in the future. I learned a lot from Tina's experience. I learned about the importance of family and the need to care for our family and friends.

There was nothing in the book I disliked. It was interesting, engaging, and educational. I felt emotional while reading about all the author went through at her place of work and also about her miscarriage. I encourage women to be bold like Tina and move past their mistakes. I commend Tina for her writing style and use of proper grammar. Nonetheless, I detected some errors in the book. This shows it was professionally edited.

I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars. I gave it a perfect rating because it was interesting and I learned a lot from it. I recommend this book to women and victims of rape and sexual harassment because they would learn a lot from it.
