"Love All the Way" by Aurora Carafa.

Love All the Way by Aurora Carafa is a book written to display LGBTQ relationships and how communities reacted towards such people back in the days. The author introduces us to Melanie Foster, a heterosexual woman and Allen Shandi who was a gay man. They move in together in Allen's house as they worked on designing clothes. Melanie developed strong sexual feelings towards Allen who could not reciprocate the feelings but rather love her like a sister. They decide to make a child together naturally though not being in a relationship. Allen is later diagnosed with a rare neurological disease that affects the nerve cells responsible for controlling voluntary muscle movement.

Despite his condition, Allen finds love in the hands of his physical trainer, Felix Malone. Together with Melanie and Allen's family they went through the challenges of Allen's disease which kept on deteriorating but the love they all shared made everything easy. With Allen's limited time on earth he decided to marry his lover Felix together with his baby's mother Melanie. They continued to co-parent until Allen's body gave in and he drew his last breath living behind his husband, the mother of his son, the son and his brother.

Despite the book being beautifully written I was disturbed by Melanie's drinking of alcoholic beverages and smoking while pregnant. To me the writer displayed that it is totally ok for a pregnant woman to indulge in substances which we very much know that they are harmful to the unborn baby. The book had numerous grammatic and spelling errors which requires professional editing. Therefore, I rate it 2 out of 4 stars and 3 out of 5 stars.

I enjoyed reading about the love that the characters especially Allen, showed towards everyone most particularly those in his life. The book was showing us how LGBTQ community is so supportive, loving and caring towards other people. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy reading books about the LGBTQ community.
