Review of A Dream For Peace
Racism, colonialism, and nepotism are problems the African race has suffered over the past years. Who is daring enough to fight for change? A Dream for Peace, written by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, is an inspirational memoir of the author, who loves his country and fights for her freedom.
Dr. Ghoulem Berah, a political diplomat, scientist, and freedom fighter hails from a small town in Algeria. His mother's love and efforts to make sure her son excelled in his academics were not in vain. He received a scholarship to study medicine at a French school. Berrah was unhappy with how the people in his country suffered discrimination, just as he had endured the same in France. In Bordeaux, he met with people who shared similar opinions to his. There, they formed alliances and protested against colonial rule in their countries. Read about the heroic acts of a man who fought for his country's freedom by getting this book.
I loved the author's style of writing. It is engaging and entertaining. He clearly describes events in the book. The author also added graphical illustrations to show the authenticity of his experiences and achievements in the book.
The book does not only talk about politics and history but also about topics like religion, marriage, and science. I loved how the author skillfully discussed each case without boring the reader. The book is written in chronological order of events to make readers understand when each event took place.
Facing several problems affected neither the value system nor the personality of the author. He expressed his opinions freely in remarkable demonstrations, which led to his achievements and recognition by influential people. The book is educational and informative. It teaches themes such as faith, love, freedom, justice, and peace.
I found no grammatical or typographical errors in the book due to its professional editing. Besides the numerous difficult words I barely understood without further reference to the internet and its length, I found nothing unappealing in the book. I rate this book four out of four stars. I loved reading about the Algerian-African culture and his life stories. The book is fully detailed, and the author had me impressed. This is a job well done.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves to read inspirational books. Freedom fighters, human rights activists, and lovers of political books will find the book interesting. Anyone who loves to read autobiographies can also grab this book.
