A Dream For Peace follows the life of Dr. Ghoulem Berrah. He was a reputable diplomat; he also had other notable accomplishments.

This book starts with a prologue by H. E. Monsignor Justo Mullor Garcia. Here, readers will get to find out about his relationship with Dr. Berrah while they were in Cote d'Ivoire. They also handled official assignments in other parts of the world. Monsignor Mullor was the Apostolic Nuncio, while Dr. Berrah was the diplomatic advisor to the president. Monsignor Mullor told stories of their encounters and his friendship with the president of Cote d'Ivoire. Also, he referenced quotes and chapters from the memoir.

I enjoyed the sentiments of a pleasant friendship with which Monsignor Mullor wrote the prologue. It spoke of deep admiration and respect.
There was a brief biography of Monsignor Mullor. I got to read about his life. This gave me a good idea of who he was, and I liked that it did not feel abstract. I was also intrigued by the homage paid to the author by Nana Yalley, his neighbor. Nana Yalley spoke of Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's exceptional character. Nana spoke with so much awe, and I couldn't help but imagine how exceptional Dr. Ghoulem was. He shared lessons he learned from Dr. Ghoulem Berrah. One of the lessons I took home was that the longer people struggle with something, the more they come to cherish it in the long run.

Before getting into the main chapters, the anecdotes of admiration and respect for Dr. Ghoulem Berrah given by multiple people spoke volumes about the man he was. I found this book to be inspiring and fascinating. This made reading the memoir interesting because I wanted to meet the man who had been spoken of so greatly.
I enjoyed the eloquence with which A Dream For Peace was written. It showcased great knowledge encased in simplicity. Reading about the tales of loyalty, friendship and commitment evoked fond emotions. I also found the book educational; it enlightened me about several social and political issues going on in different parts of the world and their impact on the world at large.

I didn't find anything I disliked about this book.
With all pleasure, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It was exceptionally written and remarkably edited. I did not come across any errors in it. It was educational and told a great story.

I recommend this book to people who are interested in political and social issues. If you enjoy reading memoirs, then this book is for you.
