This is a captivating storyline for lovers of such a genre. However, I do not think I will be interested in reading this.

I no longer enjoy fantasy reads and series (my age is showing, I guess), so I don't think Lilla and I will ever meet. But I can see the author's investment in world building. Fantasy buffs are sure to relish this story.

It seems that S. G. Blaise drew inspiration from notable fantasy works written before hers. But her storyline’s execution and her heroine are excitingly unique; this series has the makings of an iconic fantasy series.
It's hard to draw the line between inspiration and borderline imitation but I'm glad the author achieved it.
Lilla is an empathic heroine with a mind of her own, insecurities, a strong personality, and wastes no time to prove herself and put her life on the line for those she loves. It was gratifying to root for her. Even though it is Lilla who narrates the story, we can see how much her friends love and support her without being told. That tight-knit bond easily finds its way through the pages and into readers’ hearts.
Who wouldn't root for a main character like her?
Without reading the first book, The Last Lumenian, it can be tasking to settle into True Teryn. There were strange terms, so it was a relief to see a glossary that defined some new words.
I especially appreciate this because I often feel lost with all the new terms that come up in sci-fi and fantasy books.

Thank you for your honest review.

It is surely an interesting book though l think the way Lila expressed her self was like she already new what was going on with the different leaders of the galaxies . All in all , the book was beyond my imagination. Thank u so much.

I don't care much for fantasy novels, but this one sounds intriguing! I would like to read the first book in the series before I read this one though. I can see how it would be challenging to get into the story not knowing what the beginning was. Thank you for the excellent review!

I am not a huge fan of sci-fi novels, however, this review might just make me give them a shot. I love how Lila decides to earn the respect of her people by actually working hard for it, that's very inspiring and refreshing to see. This is a beautifully written review, well done.

Fantasy novels aren't usually my speed but I like that the girl chases the guy in this one. It's a change of status quo and that's pretty refreshing, for that reason I'd definitely like to read Lilla's story and her thought process as she goes on her quest to prove herself to the Teryn queen. Maybe I should start with the first book but seeing as your review says there's a glossary for the more complex terms, I should have no problem with it.

The character I easily fell in love with was Lila. I also admired Rhona's sass but was appalled by Teague's gluttony. The storyline was incredibly satisfying and is an easy fantasy series. Congratulations on BOTD

After reading the sample of this book and the excellent review, I think I would be one of those readers that would get more out of the story by reading book one, The LastLumenian’, prior to this one. The character of Lilla is interesting, and the narrative moves along quickly. I can appreciate why it would be popular with sci-fi and fantasy fans.

I found the sample difficult to follow and the story did not interest me. It has a Star Wars kind of feel and is not in my league of fantasy novels. Your review is well written and it does seem that you love the book, however, it will be a pass for me. Congrats to the author on being selected for book of the day.

Lilla is an interesting protagonist. There's seems to be a lot going on in the book. I guess I would have to read it to make sense of the whole adventure. The book cover just spectacular. Congratulations on BOTD.

A nice fantasy story book "True Teryn" by S.G. Blaise, which follows Lilla, an empathic heroine with a mind of her own, and a strong personality. I love this book.

This fantasy fiction book has an awesome storyline as it is the second book of the series. The glossary of terms is especially helpful to follow along if you haven't read the first book. My favorite aspect is the relatability of the heroine in the story, Lilla, who girls would find inspiring. Congrats on the BOTD!
