Review of Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (German Edition)
Peter Liptak is an English teacher. When he went to Asia, he took an interest in learning a new language. He loves teaching foreigners about a language or culture. He focused on teaching German nationals the English language and idioms in Idiom Attack Vol. 1: Everyday Living (German Edition). He used the chapter-theme approach to cover popular idioms. Some chapters focus on various times of the day. Others show regular activities carried out by people. Learning idioms isn't all that easy, but Peter Liptak simplified that in Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (German Edition).
Peter Liptak wrote this book as the German Edition of the series titled Idiom Attack. I am sure that German scholars would appreciate the author because he wrote this in a language they understand. I have always liked learning quotes, proverbs, and idioms indigenous to certain people. In this case, the idioms are those of North Americans.
Even though I liked the goal and the presentation of the book, what I liked the most was the way it was arranged. I saw that the author always wrote the idioms in English first. He then wrote the German translation beneath that. I want to believe that he did this for the benefit of readers who only speak German. This simple and excellent arrangement is what I liked the most in Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (German Edition).
I have not said what I disliked about the book. I am happy that if that were a question, the answer would be absolutely nothing. I did not dislike anything in it because I found it perfect. Now, that may seem like an overreach, but it's true. The editing was perfect, and so was the whole book. On the editing, I was not surprised when I did not see any errors in it. That has made me decide to rate it 4 out of 4 stars. I spent a few hours reading this. Before that, I wondered how interesting it would be. It was not super funny like some storybooks are. However, it was interesting enough. The stories and short tales contributed to the rating.
I enjoyed reading this even though it is not a storybook. I recommend its use to students in schools in Germany. This will help build their knowledge of foreign idioms. This does not mean that they will automatically turn into walking idiom dictionaries. It will serve as a foundation for them to grow their vocabulary.
