Health Tips, Myths, and Tricks, from the title itself, is about making wise health and nutrition choices. Divided into three main sections, it discussed varieties of health concerns and issues that needed to be clarified and resolved. The first part focuses on recommendations on how to achieve a healthy life. The second part seeks to reveal health beliefs or customs that are unhelpful on achieving good health. The third part reveals the fraudulent moves of entrepreneurs on advertising their health or nutritional products or services that are deemed safe to use and take through fancies of media. This book encourages people to be practical and smart in taking courses of attaining healthy life without spending too much money and wasting opportunities.

Health Tips, Myths, and Tricks by Morton E. Tavel is a healthy lifestyle read that impressed me. I will be referring to this book whenever I have a question or if I doubt my knowledge regarding my diet. Overall, the content is very informative and essential. I can analyze that each chapter and parts have respective or intended readers who can relate to health topics being discussed there.

This book is impressive in a way that I was able to discover the eating habits and physical activities I have been engaging in were sometimes advisable, somewhat okay, and not. This book interested me because I was able to know the fraud ideas that have been deceiving me for a long time. Thanks to Tavel’s book, I was enlightened with facts that I never knew. I learned numerous tips that will guide me to achieve my desired superb health. I was even moved to change my eating habits and physical fitness exercise after I was finished reading it.

I learned from this book how to identify if a health product is effective and credible. This is one of the most helpful tips for me. Also, it discussed which water is better to drink, and I love this topic as well because water is the only liquid I drink aside from wine since I needed more information I haven’t acquired yet regarding it. Plus, it provided suggestions on how to have a good sleep since sometimes I have difficulties taking a nap, especially when I do not want to, even if I need to.

It’s a wholesome book indeed. It offered alternatives to food that I was accustomed to and love to eat, teaches the adequate nutritional intakes of these, and the dangers it poses not only to my health but also in general. The suggestions in this book are worth trying given that the tips were appropriate for all ages, the author's assertions were well-contended and backed up with scientific evidence which made me well-convinced with this book.

Moreover, there is nothing I disliked about Health Tips, Myths, and Tricks because Tavel’s advice is reasonably reliable to be consulted. I am looking forward to more books like his’, but about sleeping techniques and child care since some of the ideas he presented in the book were already familiar to me, but it conveniently summed up to my newly acquired knowledge on health.

Undoubtedly, the book is exceptionally well edited since I found no errors in it, and the sources are well-cited which will prove to the readers that he thoroughly and soundly researched the contents of his book. In addition, it is broken into organized parts and I love the systemized arrangements of it. Thus, I will reward this book with a much-deserved 4 out of 4 stars. This read is recommended for those who are planning to diet, wanting to be healthy and physically fit since there is still a threat of covid pandemic, nutritionists, adults who are prone to general illnesses, for those taking medications, and also, for those taking agricultural courses in college because it also discussed genetically engineered plants or vegetables which I see fit or related to their field that might help their study. Praise to Tavel for his enlightening and educational book.
