Surviving the "Business" of healthcare

The book, surviving the business of healthcare is about a Physician Assistant who is passionate about changing the healthcare of her community and family. She was a teacher and a music lover before changing her profession and graduating with a Master’s as Physician Assistant. Barbara is adventurous and loves spending time with her family and friends. While growing, she used much sunscreen because of the sunburns, and her friends often teased her why people in her country were so white.

Barbara Galutia Regis started writing the book surviving the business of healthcare to empower her patients about healthcare. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with cancer, "Amelanotic nodular melanoma," a growth that started on her right arm. She had also noticed a patient at her workplace with a similar lesion that she referred to Arizona's skin and cancer center.

She made tests and PET scans, and her doctor Mark Runfola briefed her about what to expect during the surgery. Later, Barbara Regis received a phone call confirming that the cancer results were out, with a 30% chance of recurring somewhere else. So she started medication to help her immune system attack and kill the cancer cells to don't recur.

Barbara Regis realized that the state of healthcare in the US and throughout the world was worrying, and therefore something should be done about it, primarily by providing information that will empower the readers to make better healthcare decisions. In surviving the business of healthcare, Barbara wants to help people realize ways to save money through a healthcare insurance plan. She also made an “Ask the Physician Assistant” video on the importance of having access to health insurance, emphasizing Health saving Account (HAS) programs.

I love the book because it covered the need for a health insurance saving account with an example from Barbara's father when he wanted bank support to help him open a medical practice and serve the community. The banks around couldn’t help and only started approaching him for loan offers when he had already successfully paid his loyal debts. Barbara Regis also recounts experiencing the same situation way back in 2003 when they wanted to open up a practice, but banks could not bail them out, only reaching to them after they had come out with success.

I rate this book on a scale of 3 out of 4 because the contents provide knowledge about a situational ailment and ways of financing to meet the medical bills by precisely having a Health saving Account (HAS) plan. Also, because Barbara Regis so loved her Job and work, she prioritized caring for her patients before her family.

I recommended the book surviving the business of healthcare for everyone to read and understand the importance of having a healthcare insurance account to cater for medical bills in situations where one is diagnosed with health complications that need you to spend much money. It’s also a very good book to read for marketing companies and professional marketers who would love to scale in their article marketing skills.
