In Manifesto for a Cancer Patient, Colleen Huber took it upon herself to advocate against the tyrannical medical system operational in the United States. She is of the view that cancer patients should be allowed the right to choose which treatment procedure they think is best for them. She put the responsibility of discovering the historical cause of a patient's cancer on the doctors. After that, the patient should be allowed to access his situation and choose which treatment procedure he prefers best.

The author is clearly against doctors who mislead patients to think that a certain kind of treatment is the only option open to them. She identified another medical procedure open to cancer patients. This procedure could serve as a viable alternative to chemotherapy and radiation. This alternative procedure is the author's area of specialisation. It is the use of natural treatments. Find out how this procedure works by reading through the pages of this great book.

The book has a lot of positive points. I love that the author has the best interest of the cancer patient at heart. She doesn't seem to be after the profit to be made from a particular medical procedure. She is an advocate for the freedom of choice of patients regarding treatment procedures they find most suitable for themselves. Reading all of these, it's no surprise that the book began with Dr Rush's quote that demanded that this right of patients be enshrined in the Constitution of the United States. I also love that the author used verifiable statistics to buttress her points in the book.

I found nothing to dislike about the book. The author was very detailed in her explanation of different concepts. Also, she didn't bore the reader with so much medical jargon. Her focus was majorly on how to help cancer patients find an alternative treatment procedure that could be safer than what the doctors are so passionately suggesting. Most doctors seem to be more after growing the finances of the hospital through chemotherapy and radiation. They don't seem to have the best interest of the patient at heart.

The book is exceptionally well edited. I found no spelling and grammatical errors in it. Consequently, I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars. No star was deducted because I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book. I equally learnt a whole lot about cancer from the book. Before now, I never knew about other procedures for treating cancer aside from chemotherapy and radiation.

I recommend the book to cancer patients all over the world. They will find beneficial information in it. Also, legislators in the government of different countries may see the dire need to pass the bill for the liberty of cancer patients to choose medical procedures if they read this book.

The review caught my attention immediately. A book focused on cancer treatment alternatives, on making the doctor aware of alternative options that provide quality of life to the patient and respecting the rights of the patient to know all their alternatives.

It is good that books appear that show other available options. It is important to talk about it and to spread awareness.

Cancer patients need support and advise not medical practitioners who want to exploit them at their most vulnerable. I'm glad the author warns and teaches. Great review

A book about cancer may not be one of my preferred books in the library. Great review though.
