Tale of the 70's by David Done is a fictional book composed of different short stories. According to the author, these stories were from drafts he made between the years of 1970 and 1975. He was then inspired to rewrite these drafts because of his retirement, and he rewrote these stories to make them more readable to the readers.

First of all, one of the things I loved about the stories in this book is that they are very raw and interesting. Readers would be surely hooked from start to finish when reading these short stories. They don't feature any magic or any grand scientific occurrence, but these stories are based on the real everyday lives of different people coming from different backgrounds. Aside from that, I love how the author made the characters in his stories very relatable. I have noticed that the characters are depicted as human beings that are genuine and flawed. I highly appreciate that the author was able to write these kinds of characters.

Aside from that, I also liked the fact that the stories are easy to understand. I like the pacing of the stories since the author did an amazing job of introducing the main characters at the start of every story and establish the tone and mood of the plot. Aside from that, I also loved that the stories are also not that long to read, so readers would easily look forward to what's coming next.

Meanwhile, I did find a similarity in the themes of the featured short stories. They all discuss the importance of human relationships and their effect on the decisions we make in our personal lives as well. This just goes to show that some of the decisions we make in our lives may be based depending on the situation we have with other people such as a lover, a friend, or a coworker. At the end of the day, we are human beings that thrive on the connection we have with other people.

Overall, I genuinely enjoyed reading this book, and I enjoyed reading all the short stories featured here. I would rate this book a 4 out of 4. I found one error in this book, but asides from that, there is nothing I disliked about this novel. I found this to be an intriguing and enjoyable read that is more suitable for adult readers because of its sexual scenes. If you are looking for a good collection of short stories with interesting and fresh characters, this is the book that you should check out.

The story of the burglars and the ocelot is probably the best part of the book. It is really described realistically and with a lot of uncertainty.
