Everyone craves to be successful, and we all have dreams to achieve. Success is inevitable. But what really drives one to become successful? How To Be Successful: Think Like A Leader is a non – fiction book written by M. Curtis McCoy whereby he inspires people to become successful in their personal lives, relationships, businesses and even in their career.

The author begins writing by giving us an account of his early life struggles; he had insulin-dependent diabetes and having survived brain cancer, which both had short and long-term challenges. Despite all these, he never gave up on himself, he still had to be what her mother and powerhouse mentors inspired him to be; an entrepreneur. He further creates “success, motivation, and inspiration" blog to inspire others to attain more in their lives. Not forgetting to mention, the online blog changed the lives of multitudes who he had never met.

This self-help book is a pool of true stories and conversations from other leaders and entrepreneurs. He explores their perceptions of success and personal growth in every chapter of the book. The author believes that success is about doing something that makes you happy and improves the lives of those around you. Interestingly, most of his interviewees have almost the same train of thoughts as himself. Find out more from the book about what successful people share in common.

To live your dream, create an opportunity that provides a solution to a problem; though some people have natural talents and everything they do seems to work out with little effort, having it doesn’t make you successful, everyone needs to equally work hard and be self-disciplined to attain excellence! Thrilling, isn’t it?

I really found this book enjoyable, and I feel that I can always reread without getting bored. What I liked most was its captivating title and a simple, clear language, Written in the first-person narrative, I felt actively involved in the conversations. It was short and was direct to the point; someone would think; is achieving success this easy? I have to agree that with the biblical verses mentioned in various instances giving it a religious perspective; it gives hope to the reader that nothing is actually impossible.

However, I will not forget to say that I disliked the large font spacing. I, therefore, choose to rate it at 4 out of 4 stars , I gave it full rating because the dislike were very minor. This book was exceptionally well-edited as I did not come across any grammatical errors, it had no profane language neither was there any erotic scene. I would therefore recommend this book to everyone, even though it has few bible references, I barely feel it would hinder their reading.

People are bogged down by what is hapening in the world right now with the pandemic and all. Such a book is needed to revive people's hopes and dreams. This is a book that I am currently reading, I have enjoyed it so far. Self-help books are my favourite.
