Soul Steps by Veronica Connors, Natalie Finlay, and Florence Strang is a terrific novel that I’ve decided to rate 3 out of 4 stars. It is an inspirational novel that is meant to help readers find themselves and unlock their true potential in life. In the book, the authors take readers through 52 exercises that ease the burden on your soul and improve your health. The authors work in stories about their own experiences and the experiences of their clients to add context to their advice. The result is quite an incredible voyage that makes readers question their priorities and how they see the world around them.

Veronica Connors, Natalie Finlay, and Florence Strang have a long history in the fields of psychology, self-help, and inspirational guidance. Throughout their careers, they have worked as educators and coaches to many clients. They are the perfect people to write this book, as they have proven experience helping others. They know what works and what does not work, and their experience really shows in this book.

I am going to dock one star because I feel that, for me, some of the methods they preach didn’t work. I don’t want to spoil the specific spiritual methods, but I’ll just say that I tried them and I didn’t enjoy the helpful experience the authors had said I may. I think that different methods work for different people; some of these methods will be helpful to people, but some won’t. There are a few main exercises in particular that I absolutely love, for example, and others I'm not so crazy about.

The authors are all terrific writers. The book is written from the first-person perspective, and their individual and unique voices really shine through. The book is well-paced and well-edited also. I applaud the authors for clearly working so diligently to have their novel edited by professionals.

So, I’m giving this novel a high ranking because it has had a profound impact on me personally. I am a very anxious person and these exercises have really helped me to block out noise in my life and focus in on what matters. Also, these exercises have allowed me to tackle tough situations confidently and find peace in turbulent times. I would recommend this novel to everyone. I say this because we’re in such an unstable and unprecedented time in human history right now, and I feel that this novel is exactly the kind of thing that people will find helpful.

Even if you do not like all of the exercises, it’s a very fun read. Enjoy!

I am a little skeptical of this book, as I find most self-help books promising at first but failing to meet the expectations they set. Most books in this genre are also not written specifically for just one individual, so it is just natural to not like some of the ideas and insights within it. Maybe I'll like this, or maybe not. Thank you for giving your honest thoughts about this book!
