The Chauvinist’s Guide to Modern Romance by Morris Rollins (a pen name) is a 64-page book that is just as the name suggests. It is a chauvinist’s simple and brief guide to successfully achieving quality coitus frequently. It is man’s guide to “Get the upper hand on the weaker sex”.

Morris starts off the book by explaining how man has been unknowingly programmed in most aspects of his life into becoming a captive of woman. He states sex as man’s number one priority in life and how modern men have lost their freedom of taking whatever they wanted. How men have been socially castrated becoming a modern eunuch. The book goes in-depth to explain woman and man. It directs the different types of men (sharp, smooth and tough) on how to manipulate women's wants, needs, and desires to woo them into their beds. The author describes the different types of women. They include nice girls, blondes, older women, fat women, bad girls, catholic girls, ugly women, and others. Each type requires a different approach to entice and achieve the ultimate goal.

I liked the fact that the book was professionally edited. There weren’t any grammar errors or typos. The chapters were short and simple which made it easy to understand. There were intermissions in the book that showed upcoming books. The author also included images and charts to emphasize his points. Morris also states scientific studies and psychological facts to back up his claims and suggestions.

I tried my best to read the book with an open mind, but some parts of it left me offended as a woman. I dislike the advice he gives on how to approach the different types of women because it is offensive and disrespectful. Most of the advice is completely useless to put in use for interactions with any sane woman. Some of the pictures used are provocative. If The Chauvinist’s Guide to Modern Romance was meant in a satirical sense, then the author strayed far from that path. At least he tried to use less vulgar language in communicating his message.

I give The Chauvinist’s Guide to Modern Romance a 2 out of 4 stars. One star for being thoroughly edited which gave it a more professional feel to it. Some of the psychological facts are sort of true (especially that of women not being attracted to money). This earned it an extra star. I would not recommend this book to children, although it has been marked to be fit for all ages. I would recommend this book to all "eunuchs" out there.

I think the alleged "fact" about women's attraction to money is rendered debatable when we factor in the large number of female prostitutes in contrast to the negligible number of their male counterparts.
Interesting review though.
