Living forever has gotten so much more difficult as time has gone by. People need documentation for everything these days. It's so interesting to see what semi-immortals have to go through. It's almost as interesting as what they've already loved through.

I am a millennial and I hate it  I love it when there are accessible portrayals of the differences in culture between time, so this sounds like an interesting work!

You've done a good job in your review. I like reading books with mysteries and investigations. You have mentioned that the four main characters are embroiled in a romance dilema, which is interesting to solve the outcome. However, you also mentioned that this is the second book of a series. I need to check first if the series is complete before diving right in. I like to read a series from the beginning until the end and it takes a long time for the next book in a series to be published.

I felt the review captured the over-all essence of the story line. The interweave of character insight not only made for an interesting story line but gave greater credence to the plot development. Personally I still have a portion of the book to finish, but the quality of writing helps carry you through from one chapter to eager anticipation of the next. I too will look forward to the sequel; however, I am planning on reading the prequel as soon as I can.

What a great review! This books sounds really intriguing. The fact that the author used some actual events to tie into his story makes it even more interesting. This is definitely going on my list of book to read

I don’t think I would enjoy the immortal being/different time periods element of this one. However, the cover is so “masculine” I was pleased to hear there are also women in this Fellowship. Thanks for review!

Semi-immortals sound interesting but I am not a fan of fantasy or historical fiction so I will pass on this one.

The Noble Mercenary by Patrick John Donahoe sounds like a great historical fiction talking about the adventures of four semi-immortal beings and I would love to read it. Great review!

Semi immortal beings. Whew! Already sold. Plus the name 'Select ' seems like a dope name for 12 really rich, bad guys. I would definitely love to read this book. It's already downloaded.

I wonder if I will not feel lost since I have not read the first book in the series. And then this second book also ends with a cliffhanger. The review is very inviting, though. Plain history bores me, but weave history into a story and I will lap it up. I may just dare to try this one, especially since Pat is generously giving it away.

Thanks for the detailed review. An action packed historical fiction about four semi immortal beings out on adventures saving the head of a state or saving a country from terrorists. Surely, readers of this genre are going to love it.

The author can do so much with characters who can live a thousand years. This perspective is mesmerizing. I believe this book is worth a try.

I'm not sure this is my kind of book. It has a bit of sci-fi to it, and I am not into sci-fi. However, based on your review I might be willing to learn about the immortal beings that never age! And how they change bodies to keep up with millennial times. It seems to have captured your interest, and from the sounds of it you were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed reading the book more then you had anticipated. For these reasons, I may just read it myself. Congrats on BOTD!

A suspense-filled action-packed historical fiction sounds quite intriguing. The plot about 4 immortals changing their identities since they don't age is going to be a good interesting read. Thanks for the detailed review.
