ESCAPE by Belle Ami is a romantic thriller novel involving Cyrus Hassani and Layla as the main characters.

Layla a Harvard doctoral student pursuing an advanced degree in art history, finds herself in a terrific situation after being abducted while vacationing in Dubai with Zamir her Boyfriend. Her father Dr. Aleck Wallace was against Layla's visit to Dubai. He always minded her safety.

Individually she was worried that Zamir parents could not like her being a Jewish. Her worries ascents when she is kidnapped together with the Saudi boy, Zamir, in their hotel. They are taken to Tehran in Iran where they are locked in separately. Evin prison situations are great threat to her life. She experiences a terrible encounter with Mohammad a guard in that prison, who even tries to violate her sexually.

With the help of the Prime Minister of Israel, a former friend and a roommate of Aleck at Harvard, Cyrus is sent to neutralise the situation at Evin by rescuing her daughter. Due to harsh experience Layla faces, she gets it difficult to trust Cyrus, this makes them open up revealing their true intentions towards each other. The Saudi boy had left her at Even and was safely returned to his parents. Layla terms Cyrus as a superhero due to how he rescues her.

Due to her father's work at MIT as a nuclear physicist, she would become a perfect blackmail target of the Iranian. Cyrus assistant Deputy director of Oghab2, Iranian secretive Intel Organization with authority over nuclear ambitions knows well what his boss would do to her if he realises who she was. Cyrus is an Iranian spy for Israel, highly trained to survive at dangerous situations. He was ordered by MOIS either to get her out of Iran or Kill her.

Both Layla and Cyrus, had developed secret admiration triggered by true feelings of love developing in them. This could make him use second option of order only at death situation. Layla always wondered if their feelings could last for ever if they managed to escape.

Layla's virginity was taken by Cyrus at her own desire. They manage to escape after great struggle. In Israel, Cyrus is taken for special medication and couldn't meet with her at any time. With no yields, she tries to meet her lover and tell her about all her feelings and situation. A year later, she gives birth to a daughter, Cerise. At the age of three months, her mother Layla coincidentally meets Cyrus who spied on her afterwards getting a reunion. Later he proposed and she accepted. The book ends as Cyrus discovers he has a daughter.

The plot of the novel is well set. I could connect with both 'Adam' and 'Eve' hence felt all they shared together. The novel is very interesting hence, I had to read continuously trying to figure out what was to happen next. The novel has vivid description of adult scenes which created clear visual graphics in my mind, making it best for mature audiences. I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars. It is interesting than I ever thought making me fall for it.
