Review of The Opposite of Love
People think that the opposite of love is hate. Wrong. The opposite of love is indifference. You might be in deep as far as loving someone, but if they are indifferent towards you, you might feel that the love is not reciprocated. Love can feel like a beautiful waltz, but when one partner is a narcissist, it turns into a painful struggle. Relationships with narcissistic individuals can cause emotional harm and long-lasting damage. Understanding the signs of narcissism and its effects on relationships is vital for anyone wanting a healthy and happy partnership.
A primary characteristic of a narcissist is their constant need for praise. They often seek attention and praise, leaving their partners neglected and unseen. Another vital characteristic is manipulation. Narcissists frequently twist the truth and blame their partners for problems in the relationship. Narcissists have a problem with empathy; they do not have any. This lack of empathy may develop into a cold and unloving environment. They are incapable of loving someone. A narcissist uses charm in the beginning. Then, they become emotionally and verbally abusive. They often use sarcasm when conversing with you. They distort, blame, and usually deflect the situation onto others. They are extremely good at gaslighting. Narcissists also firmly believe their lies, and they are perpetual liars.
All of these characteristics of a narcissist and how to deal with them if you find that you are married to one is in the book The Opposite of Love - Empowers Women. Know the Narcissist’s Mind, Protect Your Heart, Know How to Slay The Dragon, For The Life You Deserve by Vicki Mills, MS. M. ED. The author explains, in detail, how a narcissist behaves and what to look for, and then she educates you on how to deal with them. This is an efficient book that I believe will help readers navigate their relationships with narcissists.
The book was enjoyable and informative. There was nothing to dislike or disagree with. The author’s writing was easy to understand and flowed nicely across the pages. I would recommend this book to anyone having difficulties in their relationship or looking to get into a relationship. The book was well-edited, as I did not find any errors. I recommend this book to adults and young adults alike. If young adults have this knowledge, it might help them avoid getting involved with someone with these unsavory characteristics. I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. It wasn’t the most incredible book I ever read, but it was the most educational one.

I like how you gave the description of how a narcissist behaves so that people will know whether or not they are living with one and if this book is written for them. It is debilitating to find oneself in a relationship with a narcissist. Having strategies to protect oneself and set boundaries is necessary. This book will help those who are living in this situation. Great review as usual, Shirley Ann!Shirley Ann Riddern Labzentis wrote: ↑12 Oct 2024, 19:36 [Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "The Opposite of Love" by Vicki Mills.]

Narcissists have always interested me, because they are so different and work so differently than us, or maybe it is my tendency to make poor decisions. In any way, I do agree. Narcissists are not partner material, at all. There are chances that they can be however, but the chance is very slim. I hope everyone stays safe from such people. You did a good job with the review. However, in the beginning, I had no idea why you were talking about narcissists. Later in the review, how you explained what the book is about. I feel like it would have been better if you had done it before. Anyways, good job with the review.Shirley Ann Riddern Labzentis wrote: ↑12 Oct 2024, 19:36 [Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "The Opposite of Love" by Vicki Mills.]
