The author does have a good writing style and I like the way she gave a brief overview of what each chapter in the book would entail. The summary at the end of each chapter is useful. This does seem useful for young readers and adults. Thanks for the good review on this book.

The reference to narcissism in the title got me interested. From the review it appears many more topics are addressed, and I like to learn how people from different cultures etc tend to be alike. Adding it to my shelves.

Beyond Pipe Dreams and Platitudes is an interesting collection of life dealings and challenges that are crafted in an intriguing way for readers. I am eager to read what the author has compiled in this book. Congrats on being BOTD.

The best way to be happy is to turn negative into positive. "Positive thinking and optimism" is the best.I love this book!

After reading the sample from this book and finding out that my motto wasn't true ( every cloud has a silver lining), this review really made me feel like reading the whole book. I tended to believe the platitudes about being optimistic all the time, but according to the review, things do not go this way in real life...Thanks for a comprehensive review of an interesting book!

Beyond Pipe Dreams and Platitudes" by Geraldine K. Piorkowski, Ph.D. - The authors fifty years of expertise with diverse clients provides her with a great understanding of people and their emotions. She passes this on to readers in an easily assimilated form and is well-worth reading. Thanks for excellent review.

Not interested in this book. But I respect the author's work experience and how she shares it with us. It seems like a helpful book as we all deal with the topics of this book. Great review.

A book that gaves an insight into love, narcissism, and luck sounds like a great one. I like that the author's writing style is soothing and expository. I have grabbed my copy. Congrats on the BOTD!
