The book "The 11:05 Murders" had to with three murders that all took place on a Tuesday at 11:05 at night. As the suspects start popping up there might be some connection to an event that happened twelve years prior at a University. The questions start being asked about what is happening and who the killer is, but the more questions that are being asked the more confusing everything becomes. Everything comes to a screeching halt when a member of the detective team gets kidnapped by the killer prompting the Chief to connect the dots before something bad happened. The killer might be someone who everyone least suspects and who might be someone that is right underneath their noses. I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars.
One thing I liked about this book was how suspenseful it got during certain events. I feel like suspense in books allows me to get into it better. When certain events happened the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time until it ended. It got me into the book and it was hard to put my phone (what I was reading the book on) down which is a huge thing for me. To want to keep on reading a book because of what was happening along with the suspense that went on is something I like to happen.
Another thing I liked about this book was the story line itself. I liked what the book was about because I watch shows about those kinds of things. It really kept my attention and it allowed me to finish the book because I was into the book. I thought that the story line was well written because it made sense and it wasn't confusing to understand. I enjoyed following along with the story and it got me into the book because of what the story was about.
One thing I didn't like about this book was the sudden switch of dialogue. By that I mean how it went from regular English to broken English. The book takes place in Ireland, so I just automatically thought that it would be written how Irish people talk in English, but that wasn't the case at all. It would have made more sense if it was written like that because of the setting itself, but I get why it was written the way it was. The sudden switch confused me because it was normal dialogue before it changed and I didn't get it.
Another thing I didn't like about this book was some of the characters. I liked some of the characters, but I also didn't like other characters because of their personalities and attitudes. I understand that they acted the way they did for the story itself, but I still didn't like them. I liked how well written those characters were because they weren't bad characters at all. I am not going to say anything bad about the characters because the author did a good job in writing them.
