Review of Final Act
In the science fiction book Final Act by Van Fleisher, Dr. Vijay Patel tells how he created the VT2 watch, an electronic device for VitalTech, an organization he works for. The VT2 watch shows when a person is going to die. The readers of this book will surely remain engrossed in it until the very end because of how the events are connected.
The VT2 is a watch that tracks the biological processes of the owner and says when he or she is going to die. Vijay Patel just thought about the benefits when he imagined his invention. His creation, nevertheless, became a danger to public safety in a politically divided America with no restrictions on gun ownership. The topic of "the things people are prone to do when they know that they only have limited time to live?" is raised in this book. Some recipients of the "Final Notice" spend their final hours seeking retribution. Vijay Patel will attempt to address this VT2-related problem in this volume.
I like a lot of things about this book. First, practically every significant character in the book is described by the author. This enhances reading pleasure. The novel also includes references to historical and contemporary events. These alterations in time give things vigor and dynamism. Disputed topics like gun ownership, partisanship between Republicans and Democrats, violence, and hate crimes are all included in the book. It was intriguing to view these frequently disputed subjects from a different angle, with each character having their side of the story.
Regarding the drawbacks, I wish political discussions were more in-depth. The author, however, is not hesitant to face some of the most contentious issues and popular opinions, particularly the obsession with weapons in America and the unfortunate current trend of gun violence hurting the populace and the nation. The author raises important questions that each reader will have to ask themselves. These questions are made harder to answer by corrupt political systems, incomprehensible bureaucracies, and the distortions of the American dream. This is the second book in a series, but one can still enjoy reading it without having read book one. The prologue and character introductions give readers an excellent start.
I am giving this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because it makes one consider what one would do if he or she were in the characters’ situations. There were no errors in it; it was professionally and exceptionally well-edited. I have no major issues with this book. It should be read by adults and teenagers who enjoy sci-fi thrillers.
