Randy Love is this young, handsome, overconfident, cocky, overachieving and ambitious guy who thinks he is the best thing to ever happen to the world. He also considers himself the smartest person in the room. The only people who never fell for that were his father, John, who is a widower and John’s friend, Martin. Randy mostly takes after his father’s character in being witty, jolly and mostly sarcastic.
Randy took time off school to make it big in the business world like his older siblings, James and Heather who are well established in the corporate world, so he takes on odd jobs that suit his lifestyle and spends his leisure time reading and upgrading his curriculum vitae to suit the corporate world and taking professional exams. He eventually gets a job where he is being paid fairly well for his qualifications and can fund his lifestyle. From time to time, he relies on his siblings and father to get him out of impossible situations he gets himself into, especially ones relating to his accommodation. He squanders a lot of money trying to get himself out of these problematic housing situations.
His lifestyle involves hanging out with his friends, who are fun to be around, mostly during the weekends. It also involves the occasional one night stand. On one of these nights, he meets a young, attractive and accomplished lady who can tell that he is not all that he portrays himself to be but doesn’t really mind. Will Randy Love do what he always does when he finds himself in situations, run away, or will he stay this time? Find out, as you read this amazing book written by Shay Carter.
Shay Carter is an amazing novelist who captures the beauty of London and portrays the typical lifestyle of young adults in her book Randy Love At Your Service. Randy Love is a very interesting, suspense-filled, cerebral, funny, romance novel.
The book is an amazing, intelligently written book that show the importance of having intelligent and forward thinkers around you. This book displays a level of maturity expected of a writer. It portrays romance on another level and finding one’s way to love and independence. This book was well written and professionally edited and I enjoyed reading it and would definitely read it again
I rate this book 3 out of 4. What I liked most about this book was the originality brought by the writer in the Randy Love character, how he’d get stuck in funny real life situations and how he’d slither out of them. What I disliked most was the author’s use of British terms which were not familiar and I didn’t even realize that there was an index till I had finished the book. I definitely recommend this book to other readers. It’s really interesting.
