The experiences that shape and make people are beyond what is seen. Alexa's experience made her build walls around herself. To get over the experience will require a lot of patience. Great review.

I don't typically read romances, so this book is not for me. But as plotlines go, it appears that this is a nice, juicy novel for romance aficionados. Congrats to the author on BOTD.

This love story goes deeper than just a superficial romance. Many women will be able to relate to Alexa's feelings.

The plot of the book is mature. It is not like the usual romance novels where the female protagonist has never been married or has kids. I like this one. I hope it won't disappoint.

I am not a big fan of romance, but this sounds intriguing and as if it has a lot more depth than most books that concentrate on the love story angle. I look forward to finding out more about Alexa and Matteo, although the tongue twister with all the names beginning Tr might be more than a little irritating! Thank you for the great review.

Realistic love story? I'm fond of the idea of this book and your review is very good: intriguing but not revealing.

I agree, this is an interesting story, and I too like it, especially how it portrays the evolving relationship of Mateo and Alexa from both perspectives.

It's bound to be a lot of drama when ex-spouses are involved. I hope Alexa and Mateo can work through their problems and enjoy a peaceful romance. I enjoyed reading this review.

I like how genuine Alexa sounds. But maybe, in the Amazon age, she should have a different name :lol2:

I love that this seems like such a realistic story and not a "fairytale". In today's world many people have to battle between the duality of their work self and personal self and it would be good to see that in a novel. This story seems different to the norm. I'm sure it would be an interesting read.

A lovely unpolished love story can be found in the book "Masked Intent" by Kimberly Greer, which follows Alexa and Mateo are drawn to each other since their first sight and eventually it's aftermath. This one appears to be a captivating read.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

The book sounds interesting. I got intrigued by the reviewer's description of Alexa's life as a life of double standards: deceitful schemes at work and honesty in her personal life. I wonder how she managed all this and where she put the line between those two standards. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!
