Hello My Love by Evy Journey received 3 out of 4 stars from me. Initially, the names of the chapters seem bland. They should be titled to be more enticing to the reader.

This book starts off as Elise and Greg get to know each other a little better when they move from family dinners at her parent’s house to a hot and steamy night at his place. A little confusing to follow at first. The book allowed us to go back and forth between his perspective and hers. Then it tells us about some other man named Daniel that Elise was seeing which seemed irrelevant to the story. I had hoped for a little more action and adventure mixed with the romance while reading this selection.

By the midpoint, I was intrigued again. Elise had known that there was another woman in Greg’s life. However, who did he love? And who loved him back? A vengeful woman plots her revenge, or so we think.

Elise’s work gets wrapped up in the novel but there is not enough detail about the history of this client that her office is representing. This section is lacking some action and can be a bit confusing. What happens to this client in the long run? Will there be additional charges brought up against them?

We then fast forward to a pregnancy and bringing a child into the mix. During this time, it seemed that there was a lack of detail. In the blink of an eye, two years went by without the reader realizing what was happening. There was a lack of emotional detail when the father of this child got to meet his son for the first time. I had expected a little more family bonding as well as involvement from both Greg and Elise’s parents.

Our tangled love story concludes with a romantic wedding in a country where a true family gets to begin. However, the ending left the reader hanging onto so many questions that arose throughout the entire story. It would have been nice to understand how the entire story ended rather then just the love story. What happened to that other woman or those that were responsible for the “accident”.

Overall, I gave this book 3 out of 4 stars. The flow is a little unorganized and difficult to follow at times. The plot of the love story as a whole was enjoyable.
