Review of JTs World
John Thurgood Thomas, fondly known as JT, is the protagonist of JT’s World. Although this book is part of a series, readers need not be worried as JT’s World can be read as a standalone novel. In the fifth and final instalment of E. Alan Fleischauer's JT Thomas Adventure series, JT is constructing JT's World, an amusement park and resort in Arizona. However, on the day of the park’s grand opening, a string of murders ruins the long-awaited celebration. Although the perpetrator is apprehended quickly, JT is left feeling depressed because the resort's joyful atmosphere has been tainted.
JT makes the decision to take a trip and spend some time away from JT’s World. However, JT’s trip is not without incident, as he can’t seem to avoid criminals and deceitful characters. What will become of JT as he finds himself in dangerous situations? Will he ever return home? Get a copy of JT’s World to read about his adventures.
I enjoyed reading JT’s World because it had humorous scenes and exciting adventures that kept me engaged. Because there were so many twists and turns, it was initially difficult to determine which direction the story was going in. It's a good thing that the story turned out to be a charming romantic tale.
As a history buff, I appreciated Alan's inclusion of so many details about the western era in his book. Gaining more insight into this time period was both enjoyable and enlightening.
I also appreciated that the book contained few errors and that it was very easy to understand. This leads me to believe that the book has been professionally edited.
Despite the book’s positive features, it had a few flaws. One major flaw in the book was that there were numerous characters in it who were difficult to remember. It didn’t help that there were new characters being introduced in every chapter.
I also didn't like how much backstory there was on minor characters. I couldn't figure out why the author narrated almost every character's childhood and life stories. This abundance of information was difficult to process, making the book cumbersome and lengthy.
I would rate this book three out of four stars. I deducted a star from my rating because of the flaws I mentioned previously.
In conclusion, I’d recommend this book to readers looking for a good western story to indulge in. I would also recommend it to readers who enjoy romantic stories. However, readers who are sensitive to gun violence might not be able to read this book because there is a violent scene in almost every chapter.
