We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a story of intrigue, magic, and power.

Being born into a land full of war, Galen is all too excited when he finds out that his distant—and well-to-do—relative has passed on, leaving him all his worldly possessions and safe passage to the city of Voulhire. This is an offer that after having known nothing but strife, Galen is too happy to take.

As the young Galen is soon to find out, The capital city of Voulhire might be a little more than he bargained for.

The first thing that I liked about the book was that it had a strong beginning. From the very first page, I knew that this was a book I was going to love reading, and I wasn’t proven wrong. I also noticed the author's eye for description, which made reading the book a more immersive experience.

I also liked that the book was not difficult to follow. Unlike most sci-fi books where the plot seems to get lost in the details, this book had a storyline that I could appreciate. While most authors seem to be overly engrossed in creating a fictional world in which the story takes place, this author focused on the story itself. Thus, the book was not lacking in its plot. This made the book a refreshing exception to the norm.

Another thing that I liked about the book was that it was flawlessly proofread and edited. I saw no errors in this book, which contributed to its readability.

There was nothing that I did not like about the book. I found every page of the book beyond satisfactory in every way possible.

I would rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars. This is because I found no reason why this book deserved a less-than-perfect rating. It was flawlessly narrated, written, edited, and proofread.

I would not recommend this book to younger audiences. This is because right from the beginning of the book, it is filled with elements of extreme violence and gore, which such readers might find unsettling. I would not recommend this book to readers who are particularly sensitive. This is because the book contains mentions of pedophilia, which can be quite disturbing. I would recommend this book to readers who love an interesting story. This is because such readers will not be disappointed by this book.

The book was a marvel to read. I also appreciated the author's descriptive storytelling; it was just the right amount to keep the reader lost in the details. Nice review.

I am currently reading this book and am really enjoying it. Fantasy is my favourite genre and it's been a long time since I've read anything new. I can concur that it is very well written; I especially like the attention paid to all the characters. They are presented as interesting individuals with their own stories, ambitions and destinies. I'm looking forward to reading the full series of nine.
