The Pro-Achievement Principle is a book (or BIZLET) written by Dr. Deborah S. Bright, which delves into the world of work, emphasizing "the importance of collaborating in creative ways for all in the workforce - leaders, followers, and team members - to focus on adding value in everything they do." It is basically a self-improvement book which is meant to instil the reader with "personal responsibleness" and "Pro-Achiever" traits, which they can share by engaging with colleagues in trying to help them convert into Pro-Achievers, which is the whole premise of the book.

Overall, the book delivers truth in the sense that having pride in your work and getting the feeling that you want to be a part of a winning team motivates the worker/s to want to do their jobs better, which results into a better working atmosphere. This is illustrated in a scenario involving Alicia, Cathy, Dan, Jay and Susan.

The term "personal responsibleness" takes on a whole new meaning (in my opinion) when a questionnaire is used to measure how much of a degree of personal responsibleness you do have and don't have. This is very subjective in my opinion as we all tend to possess different personality traits and therefore bound to react differently. Other than that, I believe the principles in the book can work to an organization's favour.

My overall rating for this book is 3 out of 4 stars, since I also consider myself a person who sets to get the best out of himself in every situation I'm involved in, and also try to get others to get the best out of themselves.

An absolutely needed book for employers and employees alike.
