A Script for Aspiring Women Leaders – 5 Keys To Success is an in-depth look at what women must do in order to achieve success in their careers. Unlike some other self-help books on the topic, this book does not provide general steps but explains how to develop the steps that are personal to the individual. The book begins by dispelling some of the long-standing myths about women in the workplace and replacing them with the truth about the amazing capabilities women possess. The book goes into depth about what one can do to achieve their goals. The book begins with explaining how to define what you will live by which is based on personal values. It guides the reader through the process of identifying personal traits and skills, setting objectives and goals, defining personal statements, and writing a mission statement. The value of assessments in learning about oneself is examined. Delving further into how to make these goals come to life, the topic of what one will live for is explored. This is the concrete measures one will take to make those goals achievable. Specific information is given on how to build a plan and mark progress by creating tangible milestones. The importance of being mentored and, eventually, becoming a mentor is emphasized. The book not only digs into the aspects of personal accountability for achieving goals, but tells how to build a support system that will be on board with helping you reach those goals.

Authors Mark Villareal and Crystal Ann Suniga have written this book in a style that contains all the details necessary to achieve personal goals. The story follows a young woman, Ann, as she is mentored through the detailed process from start to finish. By learning what Ann defines for herself, it serves as a catalyst for others to do the same for themselves. The inclusion of an actual mission statements, development plans, action plans, and leadership evaluation gives concrete examples of how these steps are taken. From start to finish, this book takes the reader through every step necessary to become a powerful leader and meet envisioned goals.

This book was well-written and professionally edited. The way the authors state the facts of how to become a leader and combine it with the story of how one young woman is mentored through the process makes it an easy flowing read. I found the antidotes in the book helped shed light on this topic which made it easier to understand and apply in real life situations.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It is so important in this day and age to throw away the old way of doing things and step up to the new ways in order to become an outstanding leader. This is especially true as women continue to climb the corporate ladder and take their seats at the top of the team. Knowing that they can become their best by having a specific plan to reach their goals and then follow up with meaningful assessments is critical to success. This book tells it all.

Although the target audience for this book is aspiring women leaders, it is a worthwhile read for any businessperson, male or female. The strategies and tips given can be applied to anyone who wants to rise above the rest and become their very best business self. College students would greatly benefit from reading this book and preparing themselves to step into the work world confidently and with a plan. I believe this book would be a great addition to any library.

I like how the author has written this book in a way that makes it a personal guide instead of just another self-help book.
Thanks for this amazing review. :tiphat:
