Everyone deals with grief differently, whether it's the loss of a loved one, a pet, toys, or even a friend, and most of the time we find it hard to let go. Dr. Maria Stylianou's How to Say a Good-Bye! would enlighten readers on how to handle grief.

The story begins with a boy named Pete sitting alone on a bench in a park when a boy named John approaches him and tries to cheer him up by inviting him to play. Pete refuses because he’s not happy; his grandfather has passed away, and he misses him. On the other hand, John talks about how he misses his granny and her cookies, and Pete talks about how his grandpa used to push him on the swing. We also meet another child, Zoe, who joins the discussion and talks about how she’s angry and sad after losing her dog Chippy. Reading this book will help you learn how they handled their feelings and learn to heal.

How to Say a Good-bye! is an enlightening book, as it talks about three children who had lost a loved one. I like that the book uses these children's stories to explain how one can find comfort when grieving, such as how remembering the good times can help us feel close to the people we have lost and encourage healing. I also appreciate the author for this book because she really would help both children and adults in a topic that is often difficult. I love how the children were portrayed as innocent and they were able to show the power of friendship and kindness. The illustrations are beautiful and clearly align with the book's content and I commend the illustrator for a great job.

I dislike nothing about this book and I will rate it 5 out of 5 stars. While reading this book, no errors were detected, which makes the editing perfect. I recommend this book mainly to families who are dealing with grief and schools.
