Review of Entanglement - Quantum and Otherwise
"Entanglement - Quantum and Otherwise" by John K. Danenbarger is a gripping crime drama that can undoubtedly keep readers up at night. The plot is captivating, showcasing a story that unfolds slowly but rewards the time invested in getting to know the characters and their situations. This eclectic group of characters is fully developed and genuine, coming from all walks of life and dealing with their own problems. The author uses multiple generations and time periods, both years into the future and the past, to show how things play out over time. At times, you might wonder how each person fits into the bigger picture, but it's fun to unravel.
Danenbarger is skilled in shaping the story to an intriguing climax and a satisfying conclusion, but like any good mystery, it requires attention to detail. The effort is worth it. This is an excellent book for a debut novel. The author weaves an interesting plot, complex characters, surprises, and above all, a compelling story. He provides the puzzle pieces, and it's up to the reader to put them together. When you do, you will be pleased with the conclusion. I appreciate how he explores the concept of death and its effects and how the characters react to it.
Throughout the narrative, the lives of Geena, Beth, Joe, Kevin, and other characters intertwine in unexpected and profound ways. As these characters follow different paths, their lives continue to intersect, with some characters carrying dark secrets that include revenge and murder.
What I liked most about this book were the characters. They are relatable and flawed. Each has a unique backstory and their own secrets. There are several descriptions of murders in the book, and it was interesting to read how these people were motivated to kill. Some characters feel the weight of guilt for their actions, while others show no remorse.
I did not find any grammatical errors in the book and have no additional criticisms; there is nothing that I dislike. Therefore, I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. However, I would not recommend it to certain audiences, such as children under 18, due to the strong language and descriptive adult content. Fans of science fiction and those who enjoy reading about complex family dynamics will surely find this book interesting.
Overall, I highly recommend "Entanglement - Quantum and Otherwise" to anyone who enjoys engaging and well-crafted stories.
