This book Opaque by Calix Leigh-Reign is one of the best books about supernatural abilities including dire consequences showing family bonds and adversity with intense twists and character development. This book is a must-read book about supernatural themes.

The author has unique World-Building skills and uses Descriptive language. The book "Opaque" delves into themes of identity, family, morality, and love. The world in which the story unfolds is unique and vividly visualized. Leigh-Reign's descriptive language paints scenes such as Adam's creepy den, the characters' Limbal Rings, and intense battle sequences.

Opaque: Scion Saga Book One by Calix Leigh-Reign is an exhilarating young adult fantasy that weaves together themes of adversity, bravery, and determination.

The story revolves around 16-year-old Adam and Carly, who discover their supernatural abilities. These abilities are accompanied by glowing Limbal Rings, marking them as Descendants of extinct Russian bloodlines. However, their powers come with a price: they are under constant threat of extermination by the murderous group of scientists called The Iksha.

The book explores the tension between their extraordinary abilities and the life-threatening consequences they face. This Scion Saga delves into a myriad of familial situations that create stronger bonds between the bloodlines. Adam and Carly must band together with other Descendants to fight for their existence. Their shared lineage becomes a source of strength and unity.

Author Calix Leigh-Reign masterfully weaves an intense tale filled with intriguing twists and turns. The characters undergo bold development, and the book introduces a strong mythology that breathes life into this compelling young adult fantasy. Amidst the chaos, Adam and Carly grapple with their newfound powers while navigating their emotions and relationships.

This book is a captivating blend of supernatural elements, family bonds, and thrilling twists that will keep the reader engaged from start to finish. I would like to give a 5 out of 5 score for such an amazing story. The story plot is a perfect setup with no scope for improvement.

I recommend this book for people above 18 years due to the language and some of the themes. On the whole, it is an exciting story and I am looking forward to the remaining books in the series.
