I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
It makes one imagine how it is really like to be employed by a wealthy heiress.
This is such a captivating book who made me read on and finished it in one go.

The wealthy Texas oil heiress skillfully manipulates her way through life, proclaiming she is a spiritual healer.
Her assistant, with no family nearby and needs this job to live, being sucked into all the hardships.

She exhaustingly made Debora's new life in California comfortable by turning a blind eye to the insanity.

It's admirable that the assistant never hated for making her feel diminished, offended, threatened, discounted, or attacked.

One of the many parts I liked from Chapter 59 was this paragraph.

MY MINDSET WHEN GOING THROUGH adversity is to know things change.
Life is fleeting, so you might as well marvel at the experience while embracing the bullshit.

Doing this assignment for Debora was no picnic.
There were so many times at the drop of a hat, Debora would change course and it only became worse after the home invasion.
She began writing checks for numerous rental properties months in advance of her stay, then to never arrive.
Too many times to count, I heard the disappointment in their voices when I said, “Her plans have changed.”
I can only imagine how much was done by the owners in anticipation of her grand entrance, only to have it fall flat. Of course, I knew firsthand how it felt.

While reading, I can really relate to the many emotions of the author herself.

As quoted: When you are finally able to move on from the toxic elements in
your life, all you can feel is... RELIEVED!
