“Ophelia” was an interesting story that followed the main character's journey back into the pharmaceutical company his father had started after his passing. Despite a few different characters' perspectives, the book mainly focuses on Tal’s journey. This book tackles many heavy topics from beginning to end, without making the reader feel too upset to continue reading. In the earlier chapters, the reader is confronted with the reality of Tal’s troubled relationship with both of his parents due to his past mistakes. The author does a great job of explaining the realistic emotions that come along with Tal’s experiences. The author also did a great job of balancing real-life struggles with the journey to better oneself. This story grabbed my attention from the start but lost me towards the end. It felt as though the story was developing too slowly and the perspectives that were being introduced hadn’t yet intersected. Specifically, part three of the book progressed slowly, despite the introduction of a few new characters. This part of the book harped on many of the details that were mentioned in parts one and two and thus the story felt as if it were dragging on. However, I am glad that I stuck with this book, as I enjoyed the ending. There were many revelations in the end that brought the different characters together. There was one big reveal in particular that shocked me and was a nice ending to the story. Overall the story was wrapped up nicely and the main character got many things that he’d been hoping for. On a scale from one to five, I am rating this book as a four. There were times in the story that I found myself bored as the author spent a lot of time developing the story. After reading the ending, I can understand why this was necessary, however as a reader, it wasn’t always exciting to read. There were also some grammatical errors throughout the book.
