Roger Smallngs in the Book "Prosperity Gospel" brightly dimystifies the "Word of Faith" movement's doctrine with the backing of scripture. In what a horde of charismatic Christians around the world has adopted as true doctrine, it would normally seem an impossible task to tackle as the Generals of this movement are revered to a point that believers would personally take offense if challenged.
The author accomplishes this by not merely highlighting the dubiousness of these teachings but by also pointing out that the Faith has somewhat been enriched by the emergence of this movement, namely by the earnest desire for spiritual gifts to edify the church and a fresh enthusiasm in worship
There is a general feel as one reads through the book that Smallings genuinely aspire to bring delivarence to Christians who were once invested or who are still in the movement but have been harmed by this word of faith movent, ordinarily when one invest in an undertaking of any sorts one would envisage a fruitful outcome when the opposite is experienced in church, its a wound that can only be healed through delivarence by renewing the mind through true doctrine found in the word of God not Revelation knowledge of false teachers, that's were Roger Smallngs work in this book does so well, it heals those who have maybe lost hope...

I definitely recommend the book and rate it a 3 out of 4, as it touches to an issues pertaining lived experiences of a lot of people around the world

The book is above average, and I rate it 4 out of 5, as the Author cleverly use a well balanced approach In dealing with the said issue, which would normally offend people if not well addressed
