As an educator of children, a mom of 4 and a grandmother of eight, the story brought me in and touched my heart.

The title was perfect as she tells the story of the canaries and the minors.

So many times, are children are hurt and no one stands up for them. So many times,we look for other solutions to problems that aren't there.

To medicate a child seems like am easy way to deal for adults; to find a reason for one acting out, when really it is the cruelness of the world, and they're trying to defend themselves. Yet their brains aren't developed enough to do so. That's why we as adults have to stand up for them, and do what is right!

People of all professionals, parents, grandparents, and childcare providers should read this book.

I'm glad she wrote about forgiveness and the real help that it gives to the forgive. Unforgiveness is like having poison that you want to give to the other person but take yourself.

I'm glad that the author had the courage to tell the family's story.

I give the book a rating of 5 out of 5.
